The ownership and the staff are very friendly. Its seems that are transforming and upgrading some finishes. My room had a peeling tub; but I know this is a hard thing to prevent when you resurface a tub. I applaud reusing the tub! its practical and environmental. Things as business travelers we need to recognize if we are environmentalists, for real. Plus, I love the literature made for the booklovers. I truly enjoyed flipping to a passage in the Bhagavad Gita made available. I enjoyed flipping through a page before heading out and back in for the night. I adore the family that runs this place. I did not meet them, but observed that they embody all of what humanity hopes to be. Its deep, but even small gestures and acknowledgment mean a lot. Be that person :)

good nights sleep tv went out a few times ...lightning storm no fault of motel it reset in a few mins.

We chose this hotel because of the proximity to what we were doing in Myrtle Beach, that worked out for us really well. That being said, the pool was stone cold, breakfast was ok (we just stuck to the waffles and cereal, wouldn't have tried the eggs or sausage at all) and exchanging towels was tougher where at one point the lady at the front told me she had to "see what we have" available. Staff wasn't in a good mood either. The room did it's part, beds were comfortable, AC worked great, but there are other options nearby we'll look into next time. This was way overpriced for what we got. Especially the $10 "service fee" ... just another useless money grab.

Stay was just ok
Hotel had an old house smell to it. The room was clean but needs a lot of upgrades. It was extremely noisy during our stay. You could hear people talking down the haul that sounded like they were in our room. I did like that they offered a cooked breakfast rather than just cereal.

From the time you walk it smells like ****. The carpets are dirty they have not been washed. They say you can’t smoke in the room but obviously theirs smoking going on. The room is decent but it is very outdated.
