Unfortunately, we were fooled by the pictures on the website into thinking this “resort” was freshly renovated and clean. When we arrived and were checked in to our room on the first floor of the schooner building I knew we were in for a rough time. Our ocean view room had a view of the BBQ area where we could not see the ocean but could see people sitting just a few yards from our patio. Zero ambiance, zero privacy. The inconvenience of this room location was compounded by the fact that it was immediately adjacent to the smoking area where people would hang out and talk loudly past quiet hours. I let the staff know about this issue and they told me that I should call for security because security patrols to make sure people are quiet. The next time I tried to call there was no answer. The room itself was run down and dirty. There was missing furniture and many things were broken. The kids sleeping area had no nightstands and the adults room also was missing a night stand. I guess when things break they just aren’t replaced. Getting a good room is the luck of the draw. Additionally, the microwave had definitely been on fire at some point and other than the broken picture frame there were various rust spots and mold spots around the room. I can’t believe how much we paid per night to stay in a room that was in such a state of neglect. My kids did enjoy the pools and waterslide and we all enjoyed beach front access. Additionally the cafe in the pinnacle building was convenient for coffee in the morning. However, the positives are not enough to outweigh the negatives - ESPECIALLY with so many beach front options in Myrtle. On our next trip we will be staying elsewhere.

Where to start with this resort?! My son and I arrived on 6/14 for a baseball tournament. I spent $1600 to stay at a oceanside view here from the 14-21st. Upon check-in we were given a room on the 11th floor. This room had holes in carpet, holes in the wall, the air conditioning unit was literally falling apart, and that mattresses were dirty. We contacted the front desk and they sent housekeeping up, housekeepings reply "we have been telling them about this room for a week." I'm sorry...what? So they knew about it and STILL put us in the room?...NICE! The front desk then sent us to another room on the 9th floor which ALSO had a hole in the wall and hole in the carpet at this point I feel like I being punked. They then send us to the 2nd floor for another room. This room is at least passable not clean, still had liquid stains on the sheets and blankets but I call for them to come and change and they do. So the next morning (Sun) prior to leaving for the tournament and I head to front desk to speak to the on duty mgr about what we had to endure yesterday. I explain to the mgr the situation and she said ok, we will refund you the one night stay and taxes. Ok cool, I'm not difficult to get along with as long as you have accountability. Mon,Tues, Wed go by and nothing returned. I go Thurs afternoon, speak to another mgr on duty, she tells me, she isn't sure who said that but she will find out and give me a call. Fri afternoon rolls around and.... surprise no call! So I return to the front desk Fri evening and speak to the Mgr on duty and she says she sees on my account were they refunded me $100 ‍♂️ ma'am that is your hold charge NOT the refund...so she's says give her two seconds and she call my room but....you guessed no call ever came...until Sat morning when I get a random call at 8am from a male mgr saying they were having an issue with the system and needed my credit card. I go down only for the front desk to tell me they have no male mgrs and that was a scam. This stay was truly unacceptable, from the room conditions to the lack of accountability in service. If I had to do it all again, I would stay far away. Don't stay here!
