THE BEST Resort on Myrtle Beach! The entire property is very clean and well maintained. This was my second summer coming back to this property with an even better experience than the last. Zeek was incredibly helpful and hospitable at check-in even upgrading one of my rooms to a two bedroom villa. The upgraded room was so accommodating that I didn’t need a second room after all. Thanks to Harrison I was able to cancel the second room and we all got to stay together in room 412. I came back home RAVING all about this hotel so much so that my husband told me to book us another trip before the end of summer! See y’all again at the end of September! Hopefully we can stay in room 412 again!

Staff is very friendly and helpful. Love that outdoor pools are open year round and several are heated! Beautiful room and very comfortable bed and pillows. Only downfall is location. There isn't a ton to do within walking distance but users were readily available and relatively inexpensive. Also, staff was in adjoining rooms very early. My husband slept fine but I am a very light sleeper so it affected my sleep. Overall a great resort and we would return!

We just returned from our first time staying at this resort. Very clean, well maintained and quiet during the last week of October. Check in was quick but our room was not ready so we walked the resort and had a drink with Jordan at the pool bar. Nice young man who gave us some tips and places to visit while we were in Myrtle. Our room was located in Bldg F on the ground floor. One bedroom lock-off was very clean and well appointed. No complaints. Bldg E was being renovated while we were there. Didn't cause much of a concern. Pools were warm and very clean. Kids splash area was empty but looked like fun. A short walk across the road is the Beach Club which has a nice pool, plenty of loungers, games room, washrooms and access to the beautiful beach. The resort is located at the far south end of Myrtle Beach. Damon's on the beach across the road is the closest restaurant within walking distance. Overall, our first visit to South Beach was nice. We will return.

The resort is located on the approach path to the airport. It can be very loud when planes are approaching. There is really only one restaurant within walking distance to the resort. The beach is close and I believe there is a shuttle which will take you there. (we did not go to the beach since it was cold and rainy during our stay) The unit was spacious but only had one backing sheet, which was small. The fireplace did not work and the furnance/AC unit's filter needed to be replaced. Thank goodness we don't have allergies. There is a pitch and putt golf course, bring your own clubs and balls which is right next to the resort. It was really fun since the weather was iffy. You get a discount if you mention you are staying at the resort.

Great customer service, Very Clean, Beautiful Facilities both inside and outside. I made one mistake when I booked our stay. I should have ask for Handicapped and forgot to do so. When time for showers I realized The showers had no grab bars. So I called the office and told them that I really needed something to hold onto and we’d already unpacked everything so I asked for a shower chair and a shower floor mat. They obliged us real quick and so the rest of the time I didn’t We were very happy with the resort and would definitely come back again. The weather was kinda iffy is kind of rainy and we didn’t get to use the outdoor facility but they were absolutely beautiful. We had a room where we could enjoy how pretty the lazy river was in the children’s playground and the fire pit. We will try and come again.

We had a 2 bedroom overlooking the water park. We usually go to Orange Lake, in Kissimmee, FL. This is a small version of Orange Lake. It's very comfortable with adequate sized units (in our unit: each BR has a king-sized bed) with a balcony. Three pool areas with different feels, all nice. The water park area keep kids busy and having fun, the lazy river is short, but enjoyable. Location is great...an easy walk to the beautiful beach. We looked over the new Oceanfront Resort across the street and thought South Beach was much better for families with young kids (more activities, water park) whereas Oceanfront has one large pool (more geared toward teens and above) and is right next to the beach. Full kitchen had all utensils, pots and pans we needed for all meals. Mini golf course a block away.

I stayed at the property in July with my family. During our stay, we found German cockroaches throughout the two-bedroom unit that my family stayed in during the 4th of July. We were there for a week with my 1.5 yo daughter and 3 month old son. Every day my family saw roaches crawling in the apartment; within the kitchen drawers, on the countertops, the walls and baby roaches in the shower. The hotel couldn't move us due to capacity during the holiday weekend. They offer to pay $175 for a dinner as an inconvenience to my family. I much rather NOT HAVE ROACHES IN MY SHOWER!

Delightful Surprise; Excellent Customer Service
I booked the Holiday Inn South Beach on a moments notice due to travel issues and I had no clue at the time that this was more so a timeshare resort. While this element came as a surprise, the room was an absolute delight and reminded me a lot of the disney resorts in Orlando!
The room was spacious, comfortable, and most importantly, clean! The property was perfect for a family getaway, and particularly suitable for large extended families who want to vacation together who can have their own spaces.
The grounds were full of amenities for all ages: Volleyball and Basketball courts, pool/lagoon, beach path, and more.
Aside from the wonderful room and hotel grounds, the staff are who made my stay as special as it was. My late arrival at 11:30PM meant that hotel security would have help me at the front desk. The security guard, Jesse, was so extremely kind and helpful when providing me my room key. In the morning, the front desk staff was very accommodating.
This was the type of customer service that make people want to come back and have a nice experience again. I will definitely be back at Holiday Inn South Beach!!
