Taikanso Senami No Yu

ロケーションも良く、人も少なく、穏やかでお風呂も最高でした。非の打ち所がないです…素晴らしい宿でした。

It's not close to Murakami Station. I contacted the hotel by phone and booked a pick-up station. My luggage is quite heavy. I would like to thank the driver for the pick-up service. The hotel is a bit old, but the rooms are spacious and clean, and seem to be more suitable for families. The hot springs are very comfortable, and the salmon migration painting board in the corridor is very interesting. The breakfast dishes were very delicious. There is a tourist map of Senami Onsen Street in the room. Most places can be reached on foot. The sidewalks are very narrow, so you need to pay attention to passing vehicles. Although it is very hot in the west, the sunset sea view is really beautiful.

The room and the building were clean and comfortable. We had our meal just in time for the sunset. We sat in a great spot by the window and enjoyed a wonderful sunset and delicious meal. It was a very enjoyable trip. Thank you very much. I hope to visit again.

When I arrived at exactly 3pm, the staff carried my luggage and I checked in. It was a large hotel (ryokan) with Christmas displays all over the building, making it very festive. As a welcome drink, they gave me two coins, which I could use in the coffee machine in the lobby lounge. Since it was a vending machine, I didn't feel very welcome, but I used it after the bath. Since a welcome drink would take a lot of time and effort, this method is good. At least I'm happy to be able to drink a drink in the spacious and beautiful lobby lounge. The room had an ocean view, with a veranda of about 4.5 tatami mats and a Japanese-style room of 13 tatami mats, and it was a very spacious and beautiful room. The washroom was also spacious and easy to use. It was convenient that there were two keys. The bath was wonderful. The open-air bath was very long and large, and of course it had an ocean view. It was hot water, but there was also a lukewarm water area at the back of the open-air bath. The indoor bath was also spacious, and there were many places to wash. The hot spring is a little salty and smooth. The wash area is spacious, with amenities and a water cooler in the wash area. One thing I found strange was that there was no door between the wash area and the indoor bath, so you could see the indoor bath from the wash area. Apparently the men's bath was the same. I wondered if the wash area was humid from the steam from the indoor bath, and if it was closed when the air conditioner was turned on in summer. The wash area and changing area are spacious and the ceiling is high, so it may not have had much of an impact, but it was my first time seeing a room without a door (sliding door, etc.). Dinner was very good. The menu had unique dishes and flavors. Perhaps because it is "Murakami City, the land of salmon," there were many dishes using salmon. They included Western dishes, seafood grilled on a hoba leaf, and clear soup. There was a lot of seafood, such as steamed sweetfish and seafood grilled on a hoba leaf, on a five-piece sashimi platter. The meat dish was shabu-shabu. There were a lot of dishes, so unfortunately I couldn't eat the rice (I did eat dessert). Alcoholic drinks were a little expensive, with 300cc of local sake starting at about 1,500 yen (1 go started at about 600 yen). Bottled wine was available from about 2,000 yen. There were many delicious dishes, so I focused on eating rather than drinking. The breakfast buffet was very good. There were many local items and dishes. It wasn't very crowded, so I walked around the buffet once, decided what to have, and focused on local dishes and dishes. Everything was delicious, especially the grilled salmon from the local Murakami area and the salmon roe (which had a different texture from salmon roe). The only thing I found was the stewed Murakami beef tendon, which was too sweet (my wife agreed). I ate slowly at a table with an ocean view, and it was a very satisfying breakfast. The service, baths, and food were all good, so I would like to visit this inn again.
