"This 1930's house has a lot of old world charm. Its lovely wooden floors and tasteful decor makes it a hit with both young and old. Th e location is right opposite the town pool so ideal for families and those keen on swimming or using the promanade for a stroll or run. The large beach is just below that. The rooms are a good size in keeping with the age of the house and look out on the tidal river which is opposite the house. This is a B&B, and so does not offer other meals, but there are plenty of local eatieries and for those with a car St James and Kalk Bay provide other options with fairly easy access. The noise level is quiet generally, there is some traffic noise and the birds can be a bit loud in the early morning but its really a lovely tranquil location with a covered seating area outside. It is very good value for money and the staff are well trained and keep the place clean and tidy and generally well looked after. There is a very good shower, the kettle and hair dryer were very useful as was the TV. There is wifi and it is not licensed. A great place for either a short stop over or a longer visit to explore the stunning scenery in more depth. The location makes car trips into Cape Town attractions such as the waterfront very easy, as well as Kirstenbosch and many other places."

"We absolutely loved our stay here. The room was beautiful and toasty. We had a bathtub, which we were not expecting, but thoroughly enjoyed. The breakfast in the morning was delicious. We definitely want to come again."
