Calimera Delfino Beach Resort & Spa

Thank you to all the hotel staff for the excellent care at every step. The food was very tasty, well-presented, and beautifully garnished. From the roast beef to the large variety of fish, and what I appreciated the most was the huge selection of salads. As a pastry chef myself, the local desserts didn't excite me very much, but that is my subjective feeling. Free WiFi was available throughout the entire hotel and even on the beach. I would like to praise the animation team - we didn't have time to be bored. The evening shows were also great. In one of them, my son even got to play a part as an extra. We are left with beautiful memories, and we would love to come again.

This was our offered backup hotel as we had booked for Mahdia. It's much larger than we usually like, but we could still find peace and quiet. Room and shower room. Good size Clean. Working fridge and kettle Reasonably comfortable bed (plus obligatory single bed) Nice linens. Lots of pillows. Very large shower. I assume it replaced a bath at some point. Medium-sized towels. We requested a quiet room, and other than tennis players at 6 am, it was indeed. Lots of storage space. There are plenty of plug sockets. Good size balcony. Negatives The shower was a little temperamental hot and cold. No magnifying mirror No toilet spray hose. The "Bedside" light ***** was dazzling. We bizarrely missed having drawers by the bed Food & Drink. There is plenty of seating inside and out. Wide variety - pasta and pizz sections, salads, fish and met section. Tunisian selection. Very nice ice cream Great breads Negatives Very busy first sitting for dinner, nobody (except the staff) smiled! Beware the flies outside! Outside Large grounds, well looked after gardens. 3 pools Shallow kidspool is heated. Relax pool is quiet, cant hear the games, music and entertainment thankfully. But loses the sun by 2pm in parts. Tennis courts etc well maintained. Hotel was hosting a tennis tournament. Several on-site shops are obviously more expensive but not unreasonably so Husband liked the gym, well equipped and accessible. Didn't use the spa Lots of kittens! Cats are friendly but not a nuisance. I wish hotels would add in a voluntary fundraiser to neuter their cats. Beach. Well maintained and clean, plenty of sunbeds beach vendors not pushy. Sea clean. Front sunbeds can be reserved by certain patrons for a fee (we think it's the patrons in the 'beachfront' rooms). Staff. Very pleasant. 3 outstanding Nijan "our" waiter who couldn't have been more accomodating, helpful and friendly . The ice cream man and the Omlette breakfast man. Both absolutely lovely. Housekeeping! Worked so hard and kept it all clean. Friendly and pleasant . Location. A little isolated but can be walked or taxi into Yasmine and the medina.

We've just returned home from this wonderful hotel and what I say it's so good that we've booked to come back in May. We had a niggle with our room on our first day but reception and management sorted this straight away without any fuss whatsoever. Rooms are very spacious and lovely decor, comfortable beds. Kettle and coffee/tea provided daily. They cleaned to a very high level daily. Hair dryer and great shower. Only drawback was the fridge didn't keep drinks cold but only cool. Pools and beach. The quiet pool does exactly that with no children, mobiles, or music. It was lovely to relax around. The activity pool was buzzing with the animation team doing things in there and nice music. The beach is spotless and sandy. We had a few waves on the last few days, and this was great. Restaurant/ food is of top quality, plenty, plenty of choices, and a very high standard. The staff are amazing and trust you like family everytime you go in. Bars/drinks The bar staff and drinks are very good and you get a fill up of your drink before you've finished. Great place to watch the football and have a chat with other holiday makers. Spa big thanks to Ali for getting us the massage package, the massages and spa are very clean and excellent. Please give them a try. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay and look forward to our next visit in May.

We stayed here for 1 week. Got an upgrade to a bungalow, which was lovley. However, there was an unpleasant smell in room. Reception staff were very helpful and quickly relocated to another room again it was lovley, cleaned daily. In this room the fridge never worked despite numerous technicians visiting we gave up. Would have been nice for shower gel to be topped up. We went to the adult pool which was perfect for us. Waiter Moktar was amazing and really enhanced our stay. Food was nice always managed to find something to eat. Flies were annoying and seemed worse after a down pour of rain. All staff were friendly and worked incredibly hard. We visited the spa for a massage package. Husband went to the gym and sauna which he said was great. We ate at the beach bar one evening which was alacarte, we stumbled across this when went a walk didn't know this was a thing. Was nice to have table service but food was a bit cold. Entertainment wasnt really for us but certainly seemed popular. Daily Entertainment looked fun packed but my husband couldn't find where the water polo was. Drinks were ok.... missed prosecco!!!! Other issue I had was lack of sugar free drinks. Im type 2 diabetic and did notice an increase in my sugar levels, which was a concern for me. This would pit me off returning to be honest. I asked reception and Easy jet rep... seems there was a problem in the whole of Tunisia.

The animation team at Calimera Delfino Hotel & Spa made our holiday truly unforgettable! A very special thank you goes to Yan and Tomášek Ghaya, Jimmy, Steve, Katy, sayda, and Stephan – you are absolutely amazing! Every day they brought so much positive energy, fun, and creativity. The shows were entertaining, full of laughter and talent, and the activities during the day were always engaging for both adults and children. Their kindness and genuine smiles made us feel welcome and part of the big Calimera family. Thanks to this wonderful team, evenings were full of joy and unforgettable memories. We will definitely come back, not only for the hotel and the beach, but especially because of the incredible animation team. Highly recommended!

Excellent hotel, room was really clean, Aircon worked perfectly, every single member of staff was extremely friendly There was plenty of choice at breakfast lunch and everything meal. If you'd like to eat out on the odd evening like us, you'd have to get a taxi, as there isn't any restaurants closed by to the hotel
