"This is a family-run guesthouse run by a loving couple. The three-story cottage isn't large, but it's filled with detail and warmth. The owners are incredibly friendly and clearly cherish their cottage like a true love. The rooms are filled with period pieces and artwork, making it feel like stepping into a sophisticated, private museum. The common areas are open to guests for their own use, creating a relaxed atmosphere. The most breathtaking part is the expansive rooftop terrace, offering breathtaking views, whether at sunset or at night.
It's important to note that the rooms aren't large, and the amenities aren't luxurious; if you plan to stay indoors all day, you might find other options more suitable. However, if you prefer the outdoors and the views, this is a great base. There are several great hiking trails nearby; if you're not familiar with them, ask the hosts; they're incredibly knowledgeable. Dinner reservations are required in advance; if you miss it, you'll have to drive about half an hour to find another restaurant. The restaurant the hostess recommended was excellent; once you've tried it, you'll understand why she's so proud of it. The hosts are incredibly chatty and happy to show you around their meticulously decorated home, sharing the stories behind each antique. On a cool night, my son and I lay in a hammock on the rooftop terrace, stargazing and chatting. It was a romantic and unforgettable experience, and one of the best memories of our trip."
