Basic Facilities and Amenities: Despite aging infrastructure, several amenities were functional, including refrigerators, ice machines, and reasonably soundproof rooms. A few guests noted the convenience of card-key entry systems and nearby parking options.

The room we got was large and quite clean. i did not look like the photos... just meaning that the beds had make-shift duvets without the colorful runners. The duvets were sandwiched between white sheets (no true duvet cover) but I wasn't trying to impress anyone so no worries. The coffee maker is a K-cup sort. I filled it with a cup of water then turned it on - got a flood as apparently someone had poured water in but didn't brew it so there was a coffee flood. I recommend the cleaning staff regularly check the coffee makers to empty any water out of them (I will be doing that for myself in future to avoid the deluge. One other slight fuss is although the room has a WONDERFUL little sofa chair with a nice foot rest, and there is a very large desk but there is no desk chair. There was the sofa to possibly drag over to the desk, but there was a cushioned low back-less bench that we used for sitting at the desk. The hotel staff were kind, thoughtful and friend. The complementary 'hot' breakfast was quite good. There were covered hot pans - scrambled eggs, hash browns, biscuits and gravy. I went for the DIY waffles which were, dare I say, the best waffle recipe I've ever had and I have had a zillion hotel DIY waffles. I could have sat there eating waffles all day, but I would have exploded. So it was a good stay at the Wingate - not quite the Ritz, but overall it was a delightful stay.
