The Poplars Moulton

Once again a Wonderful stay with the wonderful Hostess Susan. Comfortable clean room,tea ,coffee biscuits and bottled water. Completed with a superb breakfast.

This truly charming and peaceful stay awaits you at The Poplars in Moulton. This old-fashioned and pretty guest house feels less like a hotel and more like a welcoming, cosy home. The rooms are a delight, with a clean and tidy feel and a surprising amount of cupboard and drawer space for all your belongings. We especially appreciated the small touches, like the bottled water in the rooms and the large mineral water stand in the lounge for easy refills. Owner Susan is a huge part of what makes this place so special. She is incredibly helpful, friendly, and a font of knowledge about the local area, which made our stay all the more enjoyable. And then there's the breakfast. It's truly the best we've ever eaten in a hotel—a delicious and perfectly cooked start to each day. While it's a minor point, the lack of air-conditioning is the only small negative, but given all the wonderful positives, it's easily outweighed. We can't recommend The Poplars highly enough!

Lovely old building staff very friendly, room was clean and comfortable. Shower was nice and hot with lots of shampoo condioner and soaps,lots of towels,good selection of teas and coffee and water, Breakfast was amazing cooked fresh to preferences hot and cold choices.

Stunning, family run hotel in a small but well catered village. Rooms were clean, well equipped and comfortable. Breakfast was very nice and plentiful

Very friendly and welcoming. Excellent bed and breakfast. Although there is no evening restaurant, two great pubs within easy walking distance with excellent food . Room very comfortable, parking - spaces a bit tight for a bigger car but OK to get in and out of. Excellent breakfast cooked to order

The Poplars is a friendly independent hotel located in the village of Moulton. There are three pubs, two of which do food, a Co-Op, Premier, Londis and Fish and Chips show. The Poplars does a great breakfast, freshly cooked to order with cereals, yogurt and other options. They have ground floor rooms with easy access. All the rooms are very clean. We happened to visit in the hot weather which was a challenge getting good airflow into the room but a fan is provided.
