Bastide de Mougins - A Tribute Portfolio Hotel

We stayed here with a larger group for a business meeting. Everyone was really happy. It is very relaxed and quiet and the atmosphere is very familiar. They have everything you need for a business meeting. We also did not have to pay extra for flip chart etc. The food was very special and good. They put a lot of attention into details. The quality is really good. The staff is very friendly and attentive. You can sit outside by the pool if you want to have a small snack in the afternoon. The hotel also arranged transportation for us. Everyone really enjoyed it and we would certainly come back!

I just completed a great stay here. The hotel is a very charming and convenient to Cannes, Nice and many other locations since it is just 2 minutes from the A8. The hotel reminds you of an old country estate with lots of stone work and a very welcoming staff. The restaurant was very good although a but high priced, and I have never seen such a small bar of soap. Overall a very nice, solid hotel with an exceptionally helpful staff. Note - I had a hard time finding an electrical outlet that would stay powered when turning out the lights to go to sleep. The only solution was to charge everything in the closet using the outlet reserved for the pants press. Not a big deal, but just be aware. TIP: They have a cat in the bar area to keep you company!

I would give four star if we hadn’t face any incidents. Pros: Nice hotel overall. The rooms seem to have been recently renovated. The garden and pool area give a nice and relaxed vibe. The location is a good starting point for excursions in the area, especially if you have a car. Cons: Unfortunately, we encountered dishonest staff who added a tip to our breakfast bill without our consent. We were certain we hadn’t included a tip, as we usually leave one at check-out. Of course, we had no way to prove it, and we didn’t want to waste hours of our vacation arguing about it. Tip for travelers: Be cautious of dishonest practices in this very touristic part of the Côte d’Azur. Always check your bills carefully and cross out the tip line if you don’t intend to leave a gratuity at that time.

We stayed here for three nights in August. The rooms itself was lovely (although I could have done with slightly stronger air con). The main part of the hotel had no air con so consequently it was very hot. The restaurant was outside (no idea what they do when it rains) and we found the service slow and the food average so we ate out every night (same for breakfast). The pool and the grounds were lovely (although there was not enough sunbeds for all guests). It was very peaceful and the staff were great and really efficient and friendly. I would certainly go back but I wouldn't eat at the restaurant but that really wasn't a bother to go elsewhere. We stayed in room 110.

I always loved this hotel. It is a beautiful, very clean, and a very well maintained property. Check-in went smooth, except that the room was not ready at 3pm (check-in time). We were told to wait at the bar meanwhile ... but drinks certainly not offered! Pool attendant was inexistent, pool house staff / bar was very vulgar (I guess they are not used to French speakers, so they really did not pay attention to what they were saying ... but I did, and for a 4 star hotel, they should be more discreet !). Note: most travelers are from the UK. Reception staff was very polite and courteous. Food was excellent, though a bit pricey. Continental Breakfast (which means a croissant and a coffee) was horribly expensive. You have a wonderful bakery across the street for half price.
