"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our stay at Potidea Palace was absolutely wonderful and exceeded all our expectations! From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed. The staff was exceptionally kind, friendly, and always ready to help with a smile. Their professionalism and hospitality made our holiday truly special. The food deserves special praise. Every meal offered a great variety of fresh, delicious dishes, with something for every taste. We were impressed by the quality, presentation, and selection throughout our stay. The hotel grounds are beautifully maintained, clean, and full of thoughtful details that create a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere. It is clear that great care is taken to ensure guests have an enjoyable experience. Our 7-year-old daughter absolutely loved the evening mini discos and the animation team. They were energetic, engaging, and made every evening exciting and memorable for her. Thank you to the entire Potidea Palace team for creating such a warm and welcoming environment. We leave with wonderful memories and hope to return again in the future. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an unforgettable family vacation in Greece."

"Beautiful hotel in lovely grounds with great facilities for family holidays . A certain degree of harassment from the deputy spa manager which was amusing but verging on annoying by the end of our holiday !! The hotel need to seriously consider ditching the lifeguards in the main pool area who went from being complete jobs worths to useless . On our last full day on Monday 15th June the so called lifeguard decided to humiliate my 5 year old grandson in front of a crowded pool of children and adults when he jumped in to the pool whilst in the pool with his parents . He came rushing over blowing his whistle . Then shouted aggressively and waved his hand and told him to stop jumping in . I witnessed the scene first hand and it was completely over the top, aggressive and bullying . My grandson was left humiliated and in tears . He had completely ignored other older and unsupervised children doing the same thing only minutes before and ignored parents putting glasses of beer at the side of the toddler pool . I have no issue with keeping to any rules but the manner he displayed was totally uncalled for and he should have addressed his parent not a young child . If this had been at the beginning of our holiday I would have made a formal complaint . When I went up to this person and questioned his behaviour he became rude and aggressive towards me and I told him the I would be mentioning him in my review"

"Pros: The food is delicious and for any dietary requests, it’s great. Ideal for vegans, vegan feta and a good selection for toddlers including purées. The chia and quinoa pudding selection will be missed. You could easily eat something different every day for a month and still not have tried it all. The cocktails are incredible and they will do virgin versions of any of them, making it brilliant for children - our son especially enjoyed the French Martini in Provence! Although an additional cost, the football academy is fab and our son also really enjoyed the supper club where the children get a parent free night and all go to the buffet together. The shows were good, with specific shout out to the Made In China one who had everyone up and dancing and demanding an encore! The Beach party was also fun. Make sure you use the free pedalos or paddle boards at the beach. Same for the bikes - cycling in to the town would be about 5 mins and in the opposite direction you can cycle along the coast. Late check out is free - just ask and whilst not guaranteed they’ll do their best and let you know by 6pm the day before. You may also get a later check out if they can’t do really late e.g. 2pm. Cons: The check-in process is a bit confusing. Don’t expect to be in your room quickly. We’ve never been to an Ikos before so we weren’t aware of the “process” and were quite confused. We arrived around 9pm and were asked if we wanted dinner. My husband wanted to freshen up in the room first but they insisted we had dinner. It was a strange stand-off until we reluctantly agreed. In hindsight, it was strange to push us to the buffet considering the 24-hour room service is included (make the most of this and you can order it to be delivered anywhere e.g. also by the pool!). After dinner, we returned to reception. They don’t like guests waiting there, so we were taken to the library/lounge. We were offered a sparkling wine or juice and then they talked through all the facilities. It was effectively a private welcome meeting, but nothing we couldn’t have found through the app. Personally, I would have preferred to go straight to our room on arrival or simply be told it wasn’t ready yet so we could relax. We didn’t actually get the keys until after 10.30pm and when we did get in, there were sandwiches waiting on the side. All very odd. Our son cut his feet and hands in the pool. The staff were incredibly quick to help but mentioned that many children were doing the same. This made me wonder if the pool should be looked at and fixed rather than just giving plasters. I’m not sure what is causing it but his feet almost blistered and then started bleeding. Remember your room number – you’ll need it everywhere. They use it to track your location so they can check on you. You’ll be asked about your well-being a lot during your holiday, but sharing issues won’t get you much help, just a lot of nodding. We were asked a lot how highly we would rate the holiday"

"Just back from the most relaxing holiday I’ve ever had! The Esperanza Villas are absolutely beautiful and seem brand new. They have everything you could want including air-con in each room which can be individually controlled. The swimming pool was lovely and much bigger than I was expecting, plenty of room for 4 people. The kitchen area is small but has everything you need, including a Nespresso coffee machine. There are 6 villas but we hardly saw our neighbours as the trees and fences dividing the gardens give you lots of privacy. The garden furniture is very comfortable with a choice of chairs, deck chairs or loungers so you can always find the perfect seat to enjoy the wonderful view. There are 2 double bedrooms, each with there own bathroom. The showers are lovely with plenty of hot water. The beds were just perfect, usually when we go away I complain the beds are too hard or my husband thinks they’re too soft but this was exactly right for both of us. Plus it was a double bed rather than 2 singles pushed together like a lot of places seem to have. You can tell that Kalli, the owner, has put his heart into these Villas. He has provided everything you could possibly need and everything is of a very high quality. He is so helpful and was there on arrival to show us how everything worked and give us information on the local area. The views across the fields are beautiful, it’s so quiet and peaceful, I loved just watching the birds and listening to the crickets chirping. Speaking of bugs, there are mosquito nets across the windows and doors so that you can have them open without worrying about bugs getting in. The Villas are set back from the town so it is about a 10 minute walk to the nearest supermarket, it’s only small but it had everything we needed so we didn’t bother going in the car to the nearby Lidl. There are two bikes at the Villas that are free for guests to use (Kalli really has thought of everything!) and my brother had great fun riding down to the supermarket to fill his basket with Mythos! There’s also a wonderful little bakery in the town called “Petit Four by Mary” where they sell the most delicious bread, cakes and other treats, it has a small seating area so you can enjoy a coffee and pastry for breakfast. If you want to eat out, but don’t want to walk down to the beach, there are 2 small cafe/restaurants in the town where you can get traditional Greek food. Everyone we met in the town was so friendly and welcoming. The beach is about a 25 minute gentle walk from the villa, it’s downhill so does take a little longer on the way back up but you can break the journey up with a drink in the town. The beach area has lots of bars, restaurants and shops and a lovely friendly atmosphere. The sun loungers on the beach are free to use if you buy a drink but they’re not pushy so no pressure to keep buying drinks.
