If you find yourself in Moss Point, MS, we would recommend that you do not stay at the Hampton Inn there for the following reasons. We have been Hilton Hhonors Diamond Members for decades and have stayed in properties worldwide. Within the past couple of years we have been noticing a severe decline in Hilton customer service here in the U.S. Yesterday, I believe we found the absolute worst Hampton Inn ever in Moss Point, Mississippi. Our room was not up to livable standards, let alone Hilton standards. The air conditioner took very little moisture out of the room, so everything was slightly damp and showing signs of mold. The fitted bedsheets did not fit the bed, as they kept slipping off all night long. The pillows were small and uncomfortable, and were not of hotel quality...more like something you would find at your Grandma's house that she had been using for the past 30 years. The front desk clerk on evening shift when we checked in was extremely rude and made no effort to hide the fact that she could care less about whether we had a pleasant stay or not. She made changes to our Hhonors account (MyStay) without our knowledge or permission and then indirectly accused us of lying when we told her what we knew were our MyStay choices, but were not because she readily admitted "I just changed it" (a direct quote). Since she took it upon herself to change choices on MyStay information, what is she doing with our credit card and personal data?? We asked for our money back so we could go somewhere else, but the desk clerk just shrugged her shoulders and told us we could take it up with the Manager in the morning...she was done with us. We were just looking for a clean place to spend the night, not a free place. We choose Hampton Inns when we are on the road because they have always been the gold standard for a very nice hotel at a reasonable price; however, this no longer seems to be the case. Be aware and be advised, this Hilton property is dismal and the 100% Satisfaction Guarantee does not apply.

This is the lowest point in our Hilton membership. We stayed Aug 29-30, 2025, tired, and we booked through our Hilton app while on the road. We would like to say something nice, but there was not a single item which was on par, or best practice. Check in was disdainful, no standard welcome snack, nuts, or water for Gold members (I needed to pay $2.50 for water). Welcome coffee and tea kettle at the reception was room temperature not hot, unappetizing. Room key worked, that's a plus point. 2 drinking water fountains, both had "out of order" signs on them. Our bathroom was dirty, shower handle was broken, shower door bar fallen to one side, silicone caulking had come off, showing mildew. Creepy feeling having a shower in this dirty stall. Towels were adequate and substantial. Coffee maker was rusty. Breakfast was poor. No scrambled egg. No Philadelphia cream cheese, an unidentifiable substitute. No drinking water available, must buy a bottle. Worst problem is that the water smelled "eggy", definitely not fresh, and probably needed a filter or purifier replacement. Overall, I was shocked how this low caliber hotel would be on a Hilton payroll. Don't you all have an inspector who visits every Hilton property at least once a year? You can do better. At check-in the building had an odor. Two elevators only one worked and it appeared to be a service elevator and if staff were on said only operating elevator, guests were not allowed on. The door to our room looked like it had been pried open with a crow bar, on multiple occasions. The bathroom door was the same. Our room smelled horrible probably from the mold in the AC. The only thing clean seemed to be the beds (hopefully they were clean) toilet was dirty floors not vacuumed. We were denied towels on Sunday. Most staff we encountered were rude and acted like we were in the way and not paying guests.

Even though this was a short trip I must say Kenia was phenomenal. She was kind and very friendly and she made sure I had what I needed for my stay. Her customer service was on point and it made me feel very welcomed. My room was nice even the shower felt really good. Be sure to check this hotel out if you are ever in the Moss Point area!!

2nd time around
Request room to be cleaned. We were told that room would be cleaned the next day but it was not cleaned. Also had to request clean towels This is the second time we’ve stayed at this hotel. We will probably not stay there again.

The hotel employees were super friendly, and I was very pleased with the quality of the room and the amenities.
The only complaint I have is that the washcloths were so abrasive that they gave me what was essentially rug burn on a portion of my face just from washing my face in the shower.

Customer service was excellent. This may be the cleanest hotel I’ve ever stayed in It’s definitely in the top two favorite and if I visit again, I’ll definitely stay here , The bedding is so comfortable the room actually has a microwave and a refrigerator in it which is rare so I highly recommend if you’re in this area to stay here

Good but price doesn't meet the quality
For the price you pay per night, you would expect the room to be in better shape then it was. Our room had peeling paint on the ceilings some of the pictures inside the frames were falling out. The pool was in need of some care with pits in the bottom but it was clean and nice enough to enjoy. Only the ice maker on the first floor was in service and the elevator was weird, you would press the button to go down but sometimes it would go all the way up then down. Overall it was not a bad stay but the price doesn't meet the quality. The employees front desk and cleaning crew were very nice.
