"The remodel was a big improvement by making it more modern and stylish. The shower was a bit too retro, where a step in shower would have been a big improvement. The automatic bathroom light coming on as you entered at 2:00 am was something out of a horror movie. My wife used 3 sheets of toilet paper and a band aid to keep the light off. My wife would have preferred a bar of soap to the liquid dispenser."

"The store is a Chinese couple (seems to be from Taiwan), very enthusiastic and talkative, and spoke Chinese to us as soon as we came up. There are not many small hotel rooms, the rooms are clean and tidy, with microwaves and refrigerators. A little lacking is that the facilities are a bit aging, the location is not bad, it is very convenient to go to the pier, parking is also very convenient, just park at the door."

"Excellent value for money! I've stayed at Morro Bay twice and compared three beachfront hotels, and this one had the most complete room facilities and a really nice layout. It's a 5-minute walk to the nearby Galley Bar restaurant. I highly recommend it! The handsome young man at the front desk was very polite and welcoming!"

"Super, quaint seaside inn... but with modern upgrades and pristine housekeeping! We stayed on the ground floor with fantastic views & and access to the bay, but not very private with shades up... OK, now, during the quiet off-season, but would book the second floor next time. Sarah was awesome. One slight negative... lighting in the bath was dim and "yellow"... not great for retired eyes!"

"Traveling with my family, the hotel front desk service is very good, warm and thoughtful, breakfast has waffles, I like it, and there are coffee, bananas and apples, the apples are especially delicious. The hotel is OK, located next to a beach, I went to see the sea when I left the hotel in the morning, it was very beautiful, there are not many businesses in the town, but as a passerby on Highway 1, it is still very good to stay for one night, cost-effective!"

"This was the worst hotel I've stayed at in this price range during my California Highway 1 road trip! The bedding was pitch black and extremely unclean!!! When I opened the blanket, there were five or six hairs in two different areas!!! Being traveling and facing language barriers, I was too lazy to argue! I just made do for one night! I hope everyone avoids this place!"

"The beach is great for sunset photography, and there are many restaurants to choose from within a 10-minute drive. The rooms aren't very large, but they have electric heaters, so they're neither too cold nor too damp. The clientele is mostly locals, and there's a nice golf course nearby."

"The inn is a couple blocks away from Morro Bay within 5 minutes walking distance. The room size is spacious, but the bathroom is a bit tight. Our room had a view to Morro Rock. Unfortunately there was heavy fog in the morning, can’t see anything. The only negative side was sound proofing needs improvement. We got woken up at 1am but someone yelling from the street."

"It's a motel, the windows face the hallway, and it's ridiculously expensive. You can see the Morok Rock just by opening the doors and windows and going up into the hallway. Honestly, there's absolutely no need to stop at this spot on California's Highway 1."
