One-of-a-kind! Tucked away in beautiful Sterling Valley, The Burrow is your personal resort for a getaway in the mountains. Surrounded by trees and the sounds of Sterling Brook, The Burrow has it all: an indoor sports court, meditation room with sauna, hot tub, games galore (bumper pool, ping pong, & darts), a large yard, and cozy linens. <10 min to Stowe village & ~15 min to Stowe Mtn. Resort. The Burrow is a modern and unique retreat for making unforgettable memories w/ friends & family!  Ever dreamed of staying at your own private resort? At The Burrow, you'll experience one of the most unique and fun stays of your lifetime, on 11 private acres in one of the most beautiful areas in Vermont, with quick access to Stowe village and the mountain for all season fun. This thoughtfully designed and recently renovated home is designed to help you connect, relax, and have fun. The Burrow has quick back road access to Stowe village and Mountain Road to explore local watering holes, waterfalls, and hit Stowe Mountain Resort. GREAT hiking right up the road at the Sterling Forest trailhead and Sterling Gorge, as well as many other beautiful hikes through the Lamoille Valley. Lots of breweries and great restaurants nearby. Ski, hike, or bike the East from your home away from home. The Burrow is less than 20 minutes to Stowe Mountain Resort for incredible skiing and hiking or a fun gondola ride (or take a day trip up to Smuggler's Notch in 45 minutes or Jay Peak in under an hour). In the summer, wade in Sterling Brook across the street or explore swimming holes in the valley. Note: The Burrow is on a rural, dirt road and can be difficult to access during winter, mud season, or during/after major storms. We highly recommend 4WD in the spring and winter. All bedrooms have luxuriously comfortable Casper mattresses and Brooklinen linens. Primary bedroom is on the second floor with a private en suite, including a full tub and shower. Second upstairs bedroom also has a recently renovated en suite bathroom with a shower (bathroom has a second door w/ access off the kitchen). Downstairs bedroom is off the Apres Lounge and right next to the newly expanded and gorgeous spa-like bathroom, including a double shower. And the ultimate luxury in that bathroom? Each shower head has its own temperature settings. The bunk room is a great room for kids or friends, with two double + twin bunk beds, a sofa for hanging out, a ping pong table, and its own porch with a sofa set and swinging chair. New furnishings and artwork from local shops and purveyors, as well as brands like CB2 and Pottery Barn. Smart TV (no cable), Nest thermostats, and Sonos speakers on every floor. Fast wifi (Starlink) delivering 160mbps and two dedicated workspaces available. The Burrow was designed with a number of unique spaces to cater to everyone's wants and needs. -The Court: One of the coolest parts of this home that you can't find anywhere else in the area is the full sized squash court, which is also set up for foursquare and basketball. Off the court, you'll find a sports closet, with everything you need to play mini pickleball, volleyball, badminton, and more. We also offer 10 yoga mats for a morning stretch.  -The Apres Lounge: The Apres Lounge is a great spot to kick up your feet and hang out with friends or family at the end of the day. With a TV viewing area, a convertible bumper pool/poker/game table (and a bunch of board games + chess!), and a dart board, there's plenty of activities to have fun together.  -The Meditation Room + Spa: Off the Apres Lounge, get away from it all in the peaceful spa and meditation room. With a water feature, a little retro speaker for meditation tracks or smooth jams, loungers, and a 4 person sauna, this is the ultimate spot to relax after a long day outdoors (or during the day while the others are being active!). -Kitchen/living area: Head up to the main floor, where you'll enter a spacious open living room, dining space, and kitchen, with a deck out to the hot tub, fire pit, picnic tables, and loungers. On the deck, have your morning coffee while listening to the sound of the river running by across the street. Large open kitchen/living room with views of the surrounding woods (great for foliage peeping!). Gas fireplace in the kitchen area, with island seating for 4 and a 6-8-person oval table. Haven toaster, stainless steel appliances, blender, dutch oven, all the things you need to make a great meal. -Outdoors: Round hot tub right off the kitchen. New grill. Lots of outdoor seating areas for warmer months: a sofa set and an egg swing under the covered porch off the bunk room overlooking the front yard with sounds of the river across the street, a hammock, two picnic tables for 12, a seating area looking out to the mountains, loungers in the yard, and an 8-person fire pit (note: we do not supply firewood). The yard is very private and peaceful, with 11 acres to explore. You'll enter The Burrow through the newly added mudroom which offers storage for everyone. Store your skis, mountain bikes, and hang up your coats and boots after a long day hiking, biking, swimming, or skiing. Make your way through the cool underground tunnel past the bunk room, the full sized indoor squash court(!), and enter into the Apres Lounge, a great space for gathering with friends or family to play some games at the end of the day. On that first floor, you'll also find the meditation room + spa, one bedroom, and a fully renovated bathroom. Upstairs, you'll walk into the open living, dining area, and kitchen, as well as the primary bedroom and another bedroom/bath. Truly a one-of-a-kind property in the best area of Vermont! A couple notes: -Guests have full access to the property and can access the property by a keypad with a custom code. -The property is on a rural dirt road and our driveway is steep and tricky in inclement weather. During winter and early spring, they can get pretty muddy and potholes can be common. While all wheel/4WD is always great for VT, specifically during these times, we strongly recommend 4WD vehicles and experience driving in these conditions.About pets:Pets allowed: dogs less than 20 lbs per pet (limit one pet total).About checkOut:Check out before 10:00 AM.About children:Children allowed: ages 0-17.About checkIn:Check in after 4:00 PM.About smoking:Smoking is not permitted.About minBookingAge:Minimum age to rent: 25.About events:No events allowed.

Fun home in idyllic location We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Burrow! Very quiet and peaceful location, yet a quick drive away to shops. Our group ranged in age from 9 to 73 and we all had a great time. Owners were responsive and understanding. Thank you!
