Hôtel Palissandre Morondava

I stayed at Palissandre cote d’Ouest for 2 nights as a base to visit the Avenue of Baobap and Kirindy forest. During planning stage reading reviews of this hotel I was a little worried about the place as I read about mosquitoes, complaints about food, cash only destination. I was worried because I could not find another hotel better to stay. When I got there, the place blew my mind away. In that remote Morondava, Palissandre cote d’Ouest is a « luxury » in its own way with 2 swimming pools, cabins with teak wood flooring with large bathroom with A/C. It has a nice gift store with high end products, a bar and 2 separate places to serve meals : one for lunch and breakfast , and one area for dinner. Entering the hotel is like entering an oasis. It is in front of the ocean. The beach was very nice. There is a place that the water was shallow due to a large sand bank. The beach in front of the hotel is a little away from other places thus there is privacy. The staffs are so helpful and friendly. The hotel takes credit card. Mosquitoes were insignificant or almost nil. I would come back in a heart beat to Pallisandre cote d’Ouest for a leisure stay by the sea.
