"A nice hotel. The breakfast buffet is superb. The bath facilities are excellent. Clean and modern room. Comfortable bed. A bit disappointed with what parking information is provided on the listing here. It mentioned "private parking", but you basically have to use the adjacent public parking facilities at a cost of ¥1300 per night. You pay at the hotel, and they give you a receipt ticket to use along with your parking ticket when exiting the parking area. Only after looking at more reviews later did I see some guest mention this fee. This issue may be more about what Trip.com is able to display on a listing rather than anything specific with the hotel. Also, while at reception when checking in, the front desk agent was explaining some details in Japanese. I understood most of it, but when I mentioned that I didn't understand the last thing she said, the agent next to her appeared to snicker. He was staring at his screen, so it could have been something on his screen that he laughed about, but the timing seemed a bit to precise."

I was happy that there were two types of slippers (disposable for indoor use and for use in the building). "I booked the Japanese-style plan, but since there was no bed selection, I was given a twin room in the main building, which wasn't shown in the image photos. I was quite surprised as I thought it would be a Japanese-style room. The main building hasn't been renovated, so the facilities feel old (some wallpaper is peeling). The breakfast buffet had a great variety of Japanese dishes and was absolutely delicious."

"The reception staff were very helpful. I downgraded the location a little as it was a little far from the station. The building was a little old, but the room was clean. There were many appreciated services for guests, such as free pillow, humidifier, and alarm clock rentals, coffee and tea bags always provided, and the ability to try shampoos and conditioners not provided in the room. However, it was disappointing that Wi-Fi was not available in the room. Overall, I would consider using this hotel again when I'm on a business trip."

"Perhaps the worst hotel throughout my Tokyo-Tohoku trip. Staffs are not at all friendly, it almost felt like discrimination because the reception greeted all their guests with their usual "welcome" and "thank you", but not the 'Chinese looking guests'. They don't speak English well either. The toilet malfunctioned for almost 2 hours in the morning, there was no water to flush. There is no wardrobe to store clothes, no space to even place our luggages. Worst of all, there is only one elevator (mind you, it's a multi-storey hotel, it's so tall it could be seen from Morioka station itself). Which hotel has only 1 elevator? The lift was full and it stopped at almost every floor in the morning full, and some guests could not enter the lift and had to wait for another round. Imagine the guests that stay on the lower floors with luggages. Although this hotel is fairly near the Morioka station, we would not recommend it at all. There are other hotels with better amenities as close as 100 metres from this hotel. And it's not exactly cheap - it was the same price as the best 3-star hotel we've stayed in Sendai (and Sendai is a much bigger town)."
