Good location. Has jacuzzi but need to check timing of operation. Big rooms , view is just old buildings from rooms but nice from rooftop

Everything was excellent. The room had recently been redecorated and was very clean, the restaurant is superb, hotel staff was very friendly and pointed us to interesting places in the city. It is at a central location in the city so it's great if you're planning to explore by walking on the rambla. We hope to visit again soon!

The hotel itself is modern, clean, and comfortable. The service is, however, is inconsistent. My pre-arrival bedding requests were acknowledged but not honored. The young man who works the evening/night shift (Alejandro?) is friendly and eager to help, yet some of the information he provided turned out not to be accurate. On the second day of my stay, I got a call from the front desk that started with: "What's your name?" I replied that he should know my name as he was calling my room. He then hung up... The location is by the beach but view of beach from the room is limited: if you are in the 01 and 02, you'd get partial view, 04 gets no view of the beach at all. The hotel is situated in a nice, mostly residential, neighborhood. There are no tourist sites nearby, but I chose this location because I didn't want to be in the old town or Centro: most tourist sites are there, but those areas are a bit run down.

I recently enjoyed a 4 night stay at the Soro. The hotel and staff were so so kind. At the reception Alejandro, Johan, Vanessa were always ready to assist with any requests or recommendations. The restaurant Tomás always served a bountiful breakfast. Valentín, a server at Tomás was so kind. I also enjoyed a dinner at Tomás, the Fresh Catch of the Day fish was Corvina and it was prepared and presented to perfection. Hats off to the great chef at Tomás. Giovana and Mariane with housekeeping kept my room clean and comfortable and provided face cloths as requested. I loved the boutique atmosphere and friendliness of everyone at the Soro. This atmosphere made me felt very welcomed for my first time visiting Montevideo and Uruguay. A tip for any future guests, within walking distance there are plenty of good restaurants. I enjoyed dinner at La Otra (a traditional Uruguayan grill) and Fellini (Italian, Mediterranean cuisine). There is also a nice Fresh Market by Disco Supermercado nearby. The Soro is located in Pocitas a nice neighborhood. While at the Soro take a nice stroll on the Rambla. The Soro is truly a gem in Montevideo.

I found the cozy and relax I was looking for. Very nice hotel and an excellent room Vanessa checked us in and was very nice and helpfull along our ! The room 801 was very comfortable, the bathroom too, very good shower, we spend two nigths there and we were very sad when we have to leave. Choose these hotel, you will thank me !
