My wife and I happened upon this hotel whilst on an excursion to Monteriggioni and immediately booked in for two nights. The following day we checked in and had the most extraordinary stay. The location is truly amazing, a hotel within a small medieval town, surrounded by history. Our room had a spectacular Tuscan countryside view while the breakfast on the terrace and the use of the swimming pool added to the enjoyment of our stay. A special mention must be made of the fantastic husband and wife team, Francesca and Francesco, who did everything possible to make our visit enjoyable.

Where do you get a chance to stay in a medieval town everyday. This hotel afforded us that opportunity. Great location and great host in Francesca and her front of house staff. Have to single out Eric who was extremely helpful during our stay. Four great restaurants in the town square support the memorable stay at this hotel. Great location to explore Sienna, San Gimignano and Tuscany from.

I had such a magical experience at this place last week. Im not being over the top with that word. It's basically in a mini castle! From the second you pull up to the walls you are transported back in time. Francesco and Francesca are amazing hosts. Everyone who works there was friendly and attentive. From the moment we pulled in we felt like welcomed guests. We had a car and drove in, don't be afraid to go through the tight entrance. They have a nice secure parking lot behind a gate within the walls of Monteriggioni. I was in and out a lot and even late at night into the morning. They always had someone at the front reception to let us in with a smile. This was an important feature for my wife and I because we had a wedding nearby and came back and forth a lot. The grounds are very cute and pleasant. Our room was nice and clean and our window opened out into the street. It was fun to open it and feel right in the mix but it wasn't too loud. The rest of the entire hotel is even quieter.

We wanted to stay in a small Tuscany city and found this sweet gem. It had a gorgeous garden full of olive trees and flowering bushes along with a swimming pool. It was so refreshing to swim after a full day of seeing the sights in Siena. The room was perfect, sheets were super lux as were the towels. Bed was a nice king which is unusual. The staff were absolutely the best. Very helpful in answering all of our questions and recommending good spots for dinner. We went wine tasting close by which was a treat. We met many people who were hiking the trail that goes by the town. If you want a quiet experience in the middle of Tuscany this is the spot.

This is the ine and only hotel inside the castle. With Internal parking and electric car charger. A little pool with solarium and an astonishing garden. Topical Tuscan style. A gemstone. Great breakfast on the terrace and five star hotel Yakut service and cleaning

The four-star Hotel was a fantastic spot for a romantic stay behind the walls of this ancient fortress/town. Welcomed warmly by the owner, the reserved parking at the hotel - while a challenge to get to on the narrow streets - was a godsend for us as my wife has some mobility issues. The courtyard (with small pool) is a private space - a quiet oasis from the rest of the town. Restaurant Antico Tavolo served an excellent braised Cingiale and wonderful pasta ( with excellent cheesecake for dessert!) We had the pleasure to witness the joyful wedding at the Chiesa Santa Maria empty into the Piazza that warm afternoon, making the whole experience so very romantic.

We first visited Monteriggioni 16 years ago and 8 had a pipe dream to stay at the local hotel. Fast forward to 2023 and we stayed for 4 nights. Great location, the hotel was quiet, staff very helpful, great continental breakfast. Clean room, plenty of towels and sheets changed during our stay. Local restaurants all very good so you really don’t need to wander far for dinner.

The receptionist was very helpful when we checked in. They have a limited bar service at any time, so soon after checking in, I went down to ask for some Prosecco. I did mention it was my birthday and he insisted on giving us two glasses on the house. Very nice gesture. The common parts are all very nice, with interesting China sculptures which we enjoyed seeing. The weather was not warm enough for us to sit out in the garden and enjoy the pool with the views, but that would be wonderful if the weather were better. Breakfast was very good, and generally they were very friendly and helpful. the only reason I did not give it five stars was that the room was a bit dark and small. You could not say it was luxurious, but for a fascinating old town, it was a great place to stay.
