Villa Pambuffetti ★★★★
"Such a delightful, regrettably short visit to Montefalco and this extravagantly charming and well kept hotel. Even in the off-season we felt entirely welcomed and accommodated by kindly and attentive proprietors Mauro and Alessandra. Special acknowledgment to the beautiful tower room my wife of 36 years and I shared with its stunning 360 degree views over the surrounding Umbrian valleys. Ate well, slept well and toured the beautiful Museale de San Francesco -- hauntingly beautiful. Can't wait to return. Thank you for everything, Mauro & Alessandra!"
Villa Santa Barbara ★★★★
"This place was recommended to us by Australian friends who come to Montefalco for a long time Very clean and welcoming staff. Luca, there were 2 or 3 same name. Very comfortable room with excellent bed, seperate bath and toilet. The amenities in the bathroom were ok, bath gel and shampoo had a particular smell.. The pool, large and very clean every day is one of the special attractions The breakfast was nice, choice of coockies/sweets and fruit in abundance The choice of fine cuts and cheese was poor for this category of nice hotel The most irritant issue for us was the wifi connection, although many extenders but speed was slow and sometimes not active, I guess no FIBERGLASS … The restaurant we didn’t try … Hotel was recentely taken over and name changed to Villa Santa Barbara It is a 15/20’ drive from Montefalco A small car is a must for this hotel to visit surrounding areas and excellent wineries of Sagrantino. Taxis are on call but they take profit from tourists as they have no meters and offer is limited .. Recommended place for couples that like peaceful and quiet ambiance and nice pool ! I would recommend a tour to new TABARRINI Cantina and ask for Alessandro Fashionlovers Fabiana Filipi Enoteca Sagrantino is excellent place"
Palazzo Bontadosi Hotel & Spa ★★★★
"Everything was great at this hotel. The front desk staff was very nice and helpful. Breakfast did not have a huge variety and mountains of food like other hotels but it had exactly the amount and variety needed - from cold cuts to cakes to bread to yogurt and fruit - and everything was fresh and of high quality. The room we had on the second floor overlooking the plaza was great (#22) which I think was a junior suite. Looking the other way would have been great as well, because the views of the countryside are very nice. We found everything inside the hotel attractive - lighting, flooring, draperies, etc. But be aware that despite the prominent photograph of a frescoed room, the hotel leans modern, with a tasteful mix of more traditional/older style. The hotel has various Michelin stickers on the front door but they are not applicable anymore, since the restaurant is no longer operating (other than for breakfast). I was told that the relationship with the chef ended and they were not aware of any plans for a new chef. This is really not a problem since the town has many fantastic restaurants everywhere. The only negative was that while there were hot options for breakfast (such as scrambled eggs) they had an extra charge. This, I thought, was very odd. I think the hotel should just offer them for free and charge everyone 5 extra euros for the room. Thus the hotel would make more money and guests would not feel that they are nickeled-and-dimed at a luxury hotel. This extra charge is definitely a marketing faux-pas, in my opinion."
Villa Mustafà ★★★
"Excellent experience, Paul cocktails his guests with kindness and love. Sweet and salad stuff made at home. Excellent cleaning of both rooms and sharing spaces. A jump in the past that smells of delicacy and harmonie. We'll be back soon!"
Hotel Villaggio le Stelline ★★★
Cardinal Girolamo ★★★
