Regency Inn

I came here hoping for a quiet place to stay while my dad was in the hospital. What I walked into felt like a scene from a nightmare. The room was filthy — no towels, a used washcloth hanging in the shower, and dust so thick it looked painted on. The carpet hadn’t been vacuumed in what seemed like months, littered with toenails and bits of skin. There was a man’s jacket hanging in the corner, a broken ice bucket, and a ripped shower curtain. The counters were grimy, the tub filthy, and the sheets full of hair that clearly wasn’t mine. Then I saw the cockroaches — one about three inches long crawling down the wall toward the pillow, another wandering across the floor. That was it for me. I left a note asking for a refund, dropped my key at the window (there was no real lobby, just a bell no one answered), and drove away as fast as I could. The man at the desk, “Vicki,” didn’t seem to care at all. I’d been there less than 40 minutes. When I finally got ahold of the manager, “Nick,” three days later, he refused a refund, saying I hadn’t “complained enough.” to warrant a refund. So rude and condescending. One look at that room was more than enough. It was absolutely disgusting. I wouldn’t wish that experience on anyone.

Dirty even for a cheap stay. First at 3:00 pm the front door was locked. I had to use a ring camera. The room smelled when I got there. It did get better as the ac cooled it. After taking a shower I dried the floor in the bathroom with my white towel and it made foot prints on it. The walls haven’t been wiped or cleaned in a long time. It looked like someone blew their nose on the bathroom door. OMG! Never again.
