Mammoth Mountain Inn ★★★

"Mammoth Mountain Inn is way worth it if only for FREE parking alone especially if you ski or snowboard. You get to park at the very base of main lodge and can practically ski in and out. This alone is a blessing. They have the nicest beds and by the garage units, our ceiling was very high. Loved the three indoor jacuzzis and one outdoor cuzzi plus heated pool. The restaurant could use some renovation. I wish they told you there's FREE SHUTTLE to take and pick you up from the village. They made no mention of that upon check in. Also, unit 454 faces one of the exits to the garage/parking lot. People constantly go in and out... sleep was hard to come by. Just our luck :("

Motel 6 Mammoth Lakes, CA ★★

"My stay was quite disappointing. I was surprised to learn that having a refrigerator or microwave is considered a “premium room” feature that requires an extra charge, while most other hotels include these as part of a standard room. The biggest issue was the air conditioning. The AC in my original room did not work, and after being moved to another room, the AC there did not work either. It made the stay very uncomfortable. On top of that, the cleanliness was below expectations. The floors were dirty, and I even found hairs in the towels, which was very unpleasant. Overall, the experience did not meet basic hotel standards One"

"The hotel's location is excellent. Just a short walk down some steps and across the road, you're right in the central square, making it super convenient for shopping and leisure. There are plenty of restaurants and convenience stores nearby. The room itself is quite spacious, well-equipped, and offers a nice view. I particularly enjoyed the large windowsill – it's a great spot to relax."

Juniper Springs Resort ★★★

"The resort is centrally located in Mammoth Lakes, with the ski slopes just a stone's throw away. There's a gondola right next to the hotel that goes straight to the ski area, which is incredibly convenient. However, during Thanksgiving, this ski area and gondola weren't open. We had to drive 30 minutes up the mountain to the only open ski resort, which was packed with people, and parking was limited. The mountain itself was also overflowing with visitors. I imagine it'll get back to being the ski paradise it's meant to be once all the resorts open around Christmas. The rooms are quite spacious and all come with balconies. Rooms facing the hotel pool offer a better view. The facilities are a bit dated, and the carpets in the hallways look old and worn. However, the overall value for money is excellent, especially with the fully equipped kitchen and cookware in the rooms. The housekeeping staff also did a fantastic job cleaning both the rooms and the kitchen. My friends and I stayed for four nights and made some wonderful memories."
