Super 8 by Wyndham Monee

Very clean and quiet place and room. Very close to I-57 Hwy. Big sign on road for it but set way back of lot west of/next to the Quality Inn.

Stayed here before as its handy coming from Chicago O'Hare Airport for a 1st night stay. Nice clean room, very nice comfortable bed for a good nights sleep. Nice helpful lady on reception. I was given Room 105, very clean and well prepared. As with Wyndonham hotels, you can now pre-checkin to save time at the desk. Stayed here before and not disappointed this time after a long days travelling from England. Load of streaming channels on the TV. Wifi was only 7 Meg, but did the job, prefer something faster myself. Plenty of eating places on the same road, next to 24/7 truck stop, but no noise. Dollar Tree store across the road if you need anything. Gets my vote.

The beds were comfortable, although I hit my ankle on a metal piece sticking out from the base of the bed. The shower head was dripping , but no big deal. The food choices available was Harold's chicken, Subway, Gracie's Taco's, McDonald's, Burger King, Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts and Culver's just to name a few.

The king size is too worn with a rather large sink hole on the left side of bed, very uncomfortable for sleeping.

Needs Major Renovation Deplorable condition's. Hotel needs major renovation. Smoke Detector hanging down from ceiling, bathroom shower faucet leaking and wouldn’t shut off, toilet wouldn’t flush, bathroom smelled like stinky feet. No cover over the exhaust fan and full of dust. The walls have been patched multiple times. Told hotel clerk and some items were addressed. They said they didn’t have any other rooms available or we would have changed rooms. No availability at other hotels in the area.

DON'T DO IT!! If you're reading reviews and seeing lots of 10/10 reviews, ignore them. They're lying. Our room had rust and mold in the bathroom, paint peeling off the ceiling, hole in the tub, and the peep hole in the door was stuffed with paper towel. The only reason we stayed there was because we couldn't afford to wait for a refund to go somewhere else. The lady at the front desk did try to get us another room but the bathroom was no better. We had to buy a mat for the tub it was so dirty. NEVER AGAIN. I was fooled by the good reviews on here. Don't be fooled. Stay somewhere else.
