Was robbed in our room, while asleep. Would not allow police to come. This was extension through Viking Cruise Line. Never stay here and cruise line offered nothing.

After having a nice dinner with my family, we went back to our hotel room around 1130 and noticed a backpack on the ground. Upon looking through our personal items we realized we were burglarized and had jewelry and money stolen from us. The door was manipulated and the lock was pried open, we felt unsafe in our hotel room the rest of the trip. This was day one of our trip to Lake Como and needless to say it put a damper on the rest of the trip. Spending our next couple of days at the police station and filling out reports were not how I pictured our trip. Still in the process of dealing with the hotel and being told a different date for a resolution every couple of weeks.

Unfortunately, our experience at the Grand Hotel Imperial was the worst of our 7-week vacation. The location was poor and far from the charm of central Lake Como, making it inconvenient for sightseeing or enjoying the area. The hotel felt more like a business conference venue, and the arrival of busloads of cruise tourists made it extremely busy and chaotic. To make matters worse, the elevators were not working during our stay. Despite repeatedly asking staff to address the issue, nothing was done, which was incredibly frustrating. Overall, this hotel did not meet expectations, and we would not recommend it for those seeking a relaxing or enjoyable stay in Lake Como.
