Scandic Mölndal

The bathroom in my room (350) was terrible. I cringed each time I took a shower. It was slippery on the floor showing it hadn’t been scrubbed for along time. On day 2, half way into the shower, I realised the soap was empty. Had to exchange it with the hand soap so I finish bathing. No one had checked to refill the soap before they took in new guests. The staircases show signs of not being cleaned properly. Whoever is responsible for cleaning around here is definitely sleeping on their job. The staff was not so friendly: after eating in their diner for a couple of days, we decided to order pizza from somewhere else and eat in the nearly-empty dining area but were shown off. Location was great since we were headed to Liseberg.

The rooms where quite ok, service inthe front desk was good but terrible service in the restaurant in the evening. We had to abort our visit due to the poor service. Never again.

Terrible. They seem to focus way too much on virtue signaling than real quality for guests. The breakfast was terrible and the rest was also far from great.

We recently stayed here and were very impressed with the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. They went out of their way to take care of us and our children, who were treated to ice cream, soft drinks, and small surprises as compensation for the issues we experienced. Unfortunately, the comfort level in the room was far below expectations. The air conditioning didn’t work, and temperatures stayed above 25-27°C (80°F) during the night, making it almost impossible to sleep. The bunk beds were so hard it felt like sleeping directly on the floor. We were given fans, but they were so noisy it was like having airplanes running in the room, which didn’t exactly help us get any rest. As a result, I ended up with a headache and exhaustion, which completely ruined the city vacation we had planned. The 9 hour drive back to Stavanger became very challenging due to the lack of sleep. Breakfast was fine, but nothing special just the basics, with no standout flavors or memorable experiences. All in all, the hotel has great staff and potential, but when you can’t sleep, it overshadows everything else. Sadly, this stay left us more tired than when we arrived. Rating: 2 out of 5
