A clean and efficient hotel, reasonably priced, in a pleasant and quiet location overlooking the Möhnesee lake, a short distance out of the village; staff were helpful and efficient.

Lovely setting and great to have free parking. Room was perfect for our needs and lovely and clean. Breakfast was very good - plenty of choice and food was tasty. Staff were generally welcoming and great. Unfortunately, let down by receptionist when we arrived early evening - she was not at all friendly and quite dismissive. A real shame when this is the first point of contact a guest has with the hotel. The receptionist on check out was altogether different - extremely professional and friendly.

The hotel is easy to find as is on the main road. Check in wasn’t welcoming as the receptionist learnt we were on motorbikes and didn’t see us as worthy of a nice welcome, although she was grudgingly polite. Hotel is split into main area and annex across the parking lot. Upon entering the “annex” you have the feeling of being a second class guest. Staircase and hallway are very dated. Room is not as show in the pictures on the website. Room is very small. It does have a wall mounted tv and en-suite but has the feel of student accommodation. One small wardrobe A kettle balanced on a shelf with two sachets of coffee granules. One bedside table No usb charging ports No air conditioning No fan There is a hairdryer in the recent refurbished bathroom. Both the room and bathroom are clean. To summarise, unless you upgrade to a better room I wouldn’t bother staying here. I think there is better in the area.

First time at the Haus Delecke, we have stayed further Eastwards on the Mohnesee before. Very comfortable room and spacious room looking out over the garden and the car park. The lake view rooms a a little smaller from what we saw. Staff were lovely even managing to understand our dismal German, food was good and even more so on the terrace. Some nice walks around the nature reserve on the opposite bank of the Mohnesee and obviously the famous Dam needs to be visited. A lovely area and will be back.

Stylish hotel in beautiful location
Lovely old style hotel, we had a large room with a very comfortable bed, modern wood furniture, nice new bathroom with walk-in shower. the house has a beautiful park/garden on the shores of the lake. breakfast was brought to the table and not fantastic, as there were few guests it probably was not worth having the buffet but choice and quality could be better. other than that highly recommended hotel.

Lovely hotel
Wonderfully located older building with many original features, but modernised to a high standard. Comfortable clean room and good breakfast. Would definitely visit again.

We stayed for two nights in a ‘Comfort Double’ room, which was in the main building on the second floor overlooking the front garden and car park. The room was a nice size and exceptionally clean, the only downside was the lack of air conditioning as it was 30 °C during our stay, which was a little above average for September, plus the WiFi was a bit hit and miss on the second floor. Breakfast was very good with a wide selection of hot and cold options, plus the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We didn’t have dinner in the restaurant so can’t comment on the quality of food but given how busy it gets in the evening it’s obviously popular for a reason. All in all it was a lovely relaxing stay and we would probably visit again during our next trip to the area.
