I'm hesitant to write this review as I would prefer to keep Sorrel River Ranch my little secret! The accommodations are unparalleled as well as the views. The staff were all most competent, friendly and accommodating, in particular, Paola, Mickey, Sipho and Laura. The restaurant food was five star. My wife and I can't wait to return.

We stayed there for three nights in July. We are a family of four. The hotel grounds are really fantastic. You feel you are in a different world. The rooms are spacious and clean. The hotel offers lots of greats activities, like horseback riding or rafting on the Colorado River. The reason why I did not put 5 stars is because the restaurant is not so great; most notably, if you are not into eggs, breakfast options are very limited. In addition, some of the staff looked a bit inexperienced for this hotel category.

Great place for horseback riding and hiking. Convenient to downtown Moab and the national parks Arches and Canyonlands. Lots of activities on the property. Or if you just wanna sit back and relax by the pool and the hot tub, you can do that too. Good restaurant with good service. Good selection of bourbons and other liquors. See pic of the bar downstairs below.

Sorrel River ranch has had staffing problems for years. Either they don't pay enough or don't have the revenue to fix the place up. Of course the area will always be beautiful. A thousand dollars a night? Owners, you are not winning the hearts and minds of the guests. I don't even know who the owner is now but in this economy you are going to need to pay attention. Used to be fun.

DO NOT COME TO THIS RESORT! Its not worth your money or time! Worst management maybe because of a horrible owner. Just saying stay away!
