HOTEL ROUTE-INN RIFU
"It is best to put a small trash can in the bathroom for easy disposal. Thank you!"
Hotel Matsushima Taikanso
"The hotel offers a free shuttle service to and from Matsushima Station and Matsushima Kaigan Station, which was incredibly convenient for me as I wasn't driving. The hotel is situated on a hillside with beautiful views. I booked a sea-view room, but unfortunately, I was assigned to the second floor, which was a bit disappointing. Nevertheless, the hotel's ambiance is very relaxing, and a dip in the outdoor hot spring bath was incredibly soothing."
Matsushima Onsen Hotel Zekkei No Yakata
"Originally not booking this hotel, but because the previously booked hotel room type has changed so temporarily looking for another to find this 'This hotel more than fifty years but the interior decoration is still very good 👍 especially the room view with its name is the same 🤣 stunning view, really great view, straight to Urashima Bridge and the entire sea view including one night two meals, hot spring is also very good 👍 👍 have the opportunity to Matsushima must book this hotel again 🥰"
Breezbay Seaside Resort Matsushima
"A bit far from the station but ok for round trip, seems have shuttle bus picking from station nearby. Some room(?!) with no bathing area , need go public bath , not super convenient spot."
Matsushima Ichinobo
"We were given the wrong room type upon check-in, but the staff quickly resolved the issue. Breakfast and dinner were both delicious, with many choices, each one a pleasant surprise! The outdoor hot spring was large, comfortable, and clean – definitely worth a try!"
Matsushima Century Hotel
"After much deliberation, I decided to book this hotel because it's only a 10-minute walk from Matsushima Kaigan Station and close to all the attractions. The one-night, two-meal package was excellent, and it was clear that every staff member was dedicated and attentive to guests. The hotel's hot springs were amazing—truly silky and moisturizing, just as described. I wish I could soak in them every day! The room was spacious, directly facing the Matsushima seascape. Opening the curtains was a treat, haha. Oh, and the hotel offers a shuttle service to and from the two main stations, which can be booked in advance. We didn't use it, though, as it wasn't a long walk to the station anyway."
Ooedo Onsen Monogatari Premium Hotel Sokan
"It was amazing"
Komatsu-Kan Kofu-Tei
"We traveled in group of 6 and had a great time during our stay. Though the hotel was quite old and Onsen was small but the hot spring quality was superb. We felt smoother skin after use. Dinner and Breakfast were also great."
Matsushima Sakan Shoan
"From Sendai Station, take the Sengoku Line to Matsushima-Kaigan Station in about 40 minutes. Taxis are available at this station; a 15-minute ride costs about 2250 yen. The hotel doesn't offer a free shuttle service. Upon arrival, you'll be greeted with warm and attentive service. Name tags on slippers prevent you from wearing the wrong ones for the hot springs, and the menu in the evenings also includes your name – impeccable attention to detail. The room views are superb, all facing Matsushima Bay. Unfortunately, it rained heavily during my two stays, so I'll have to come back another time. Matsushima is one of Japan's three most scenic spots, and I personally think it surpasses Amanohashidate. I haven't visited Miyajima yet. The entire Matsushima-Kaigan is meticulously designed, with exquisite details throughout. The rooms are large and luxurious. The bathroom has a cypress wood tub for hot spring bathing, and the yukata and shawl are elegant and beautiful. The staff are incredibly patient, translating every detail of the procedures for me using their phones without simplifying things for foreign tourists. The person who greeted me was a very enthusiastic and attentive young woman. In the afternoon, the bar plays Yo-Yo Ma music and offers complimentary tea, coffee, and alcoholic beverages. The Japanese-style room was made up in the evening and the bed was taken away in the morning. The service was always top-notch. The only slight disappointment was that dinner was a bit slow. Breakfast offered a choice of Western or Japanese options; I chose the Japanese one, which was very plentiful and nutritious. The Daikin air conditioner was a bit noisy even at its lowest setting, so I turned it off. I've slept on very comfortable tatami mattresses in many places, but the bedding here was of exceptional quality, and I had a good night's sleep. The onsen (hot spring) was very clean and not crowded. In the afternoon, fresh roses were provided in the outdoor pool for you to add to the hot spring. It's also worth praising that check-out is at noon. The spacious, beautiful, and scenic hotel reflected its high quality in every detail. Overall, it was a wonderful stay."
