Quality Inn

Paid extra for a room with a Jacuzzi bathtub and it was filthy dirty! Filled up tub and turned on jets. Black guck came spewing out and the water was BROWN!!! Drained the tub and took pictures of the filthy jets. Then went to take a shower. Shower head was so gross and covered in what appeared to be hard water calcification crud. The shower bar had filth on it and when I tried to turn on shower, it only drizzled while the water poured out of the tub faucet. Had to wash my hair by leaning over side of tub. Ridiculous! Called front desk and complained. No cleaning staff on duty, as it was night time. Asked for refund or discount. Was told to ask front desk personnel at check out next morning. I did, but was told only a manager can authorize that. I asked for the manager's name and number. Contacted manager and was told sorry but no refund or credit. Will NEVER stay there again. We stay in Platteville now when we visit relatives in the area. Horrible experience and terrible customer service. Oh, and yes I'm a CHOICE MEMBER!!

We stayed in the King whirlpool suite during the week, Monday through Wednesday night. The price was a steal, we payed half of what you would normally pay for that type of room. Room was clean and everything was in good working order. There were two USB outlets on each nightstand lamp which I always appreciate. The bed was comfortable with ample pillows, with a few being soft and a few being firmer, giving you options. I’ve had back surgeries and couldn’t find a comfortable fit, but I usually bring my own pillows to use. Temperature control for the room was good, but we needed to leave the bathroom door open when not in use because it was cooler in there. The shower showed a few signs of wear and tear (which is to be expected) but functioned fine. I don’t understand people who expect everything to be brand new and perfect all the time in hotel rooms that get used repeatedly. The shower head was nice and high, and my husband appreciates this because he’s 6’5”. Whirlpool tub was nice after a day of hiking at Tower Hill state park. It was nice to sit on the couch to watch TV rather on the bed. Refrigerator was fine. We didn’t use the microwave. Two big windows to let in a lot of sunlight. The hotel was quiet and we both slept well. Good breakfast options. Surrounded by beautiful, rolling farmland and not far from area activities- Taliesen, state parks, farm markets and historic downtown Mineral Point. We would definitely stay here again.

This is where to stay if you come to Mineral Point to drive ATV's. Otherwise, stay elsewhere, perhaps in Dodgeville. It has a friendly staff, but it seems to be a place where people go just to sleep before going out for the day on the ATV trails.

My stay at this hotel was great! My room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The staff was always cheerful and very helpful. The continental breakfast was sufficient for me. If I return for another class at Shake Rag Alley, I’ll definitely stay here again.

This hotel is clean and quiet, and the breakfast is solid. The only bad thing was that I was going to shower on the second night and the faucet handle snapped off in my hand...as it was late on a Saturday night, they weren't able to get someone in to fix it that night, which I totally understand, but said a maintenance guy would be there the next day, and that's pretty good for a small town like this during a weekend. I just was concerned that such a serious mishap occurred in the first place.

Stayed overnight 1-2 October. Toilet leaked all night. Had to use our towels to keep bathroom floor dry. Tried to call front desk they never answered. Not much for breakfast so we skipped it. My advice is keep looking not worth it.

The room was decent and comfortable. The TV was old and not impressive. Check in was slow until a very nice lady came to the rescue and took over to complete the process. The first desk clerk was not experienced and stared at the screen until help arrived. The hallways are dark and lighting is horrible. Bring a flashlight. Breakfast is ok, not exceptional. Asked for AARP or veterans discount and received a stern no.

I stayed here while attending an art workshop at Shake Rag Alley. The price was very reasonable! It's a basic hotel, with no elevator (although the front desk attendant Susan insisted on helping me carry my luggage up the stairs). This was one of the cleanest hotel rooms I ever stayed in! My king bed room on the second floor included a mini-fridge, microwave, TV with tons of channels, and a hairdryer. The bed was super comfy. I enjoyed the hotel pool and whirlpool. Continental breakfast was average but adequate. Front desk staff were very caring and eager to assist. I will definitely stay here again!
