We stayed on Saturday night and arrived to a warm welcome. Although the pub is in the centre of the small town there is a private car park just to the side of the pub. Although our double room was small it was perfectly well equipped, a nice welcome tray, hair dryer and hanging space which is all you need for a short stay. It was nice and warm too. The bed was very comfy and bedding was lovely and clean with nice fluffy pillows. The pub was busy with a lovely atmosphere, we ordered our food and it arrived very quickly and was piping hot. We both had the beef stew which was delicious with red cabbage, a crusty roll and a side of chunky chips, really tasty. The waitress recommended the Biscof caramel cheesecake and wow! Heaven on a plate!! The town was so quiet at night we could have been in the middle of nowhere. Breakfast service was really friendly with lots on offer, the cooked breakfast we had was delicious too. All in all a very pleasing stay and great value for money, we would definitely stay again. Thank you.
