I had high expectations for my stay as Champneys has such a good reputation and the stay was not at all cheap (£450 for 1 night) Unfortunately I soon realised it isn't the luxury spa it is made out to be. Pretty average in fact. Our room was pretty standard but the bathroom was sooo disappointing. I have honestly stayed in more impressive 3 star hotel bathrooms. It was so tired and worn. Definitely not a 'superior' room as advertised. The whole hotel is looking tired and not particularly well maintained. I certainly won't be recommending to friends as there are better spas for the same price.

This is a review for Holly and will. These staff members are absolutely amazing! They are lovely kind knowledgeable and extremely helpful. The low star is because we dont want to give our stay 5 stars but Holly and will went above beyond and an absolutely credit to the business we cannot fault the service from them.

I had a fabulous time at Forest Mere. Lovely food both at lunch and dinner served both times by Holly who is an amazing waitress. Looked after us well and very jolly. Room was immaculate and feel extremely relaxed having used the facilities

Yet another excellent visit. The setting is beautiful with the opportunity of a range of walks within the woodlands and downs. All staff are lovely and the food was extremely good. Service in the restaurant was excellent, with a happy and friendly team. The bedroom was very comfortable and well equipped. Highly recommended.

Katelyn assisted us at the restaurant, her friendly smile and service really made the experience so enjoyable. She was truly lovely and made our night that much more special with a thoughtful dessert. Then we went to enjoy Merrick Chaffer play on the piano. Sat drinking red wine, having an unforgettable evening. Just perfect

Visited Champneys Forest Mere for a twilight spa experience. Have been several times before and always found it good value for money, this time however was very different. Firstly, despite pre-ordering a vegetarian mezze board, and informing reception that I was vegetarian on check in, no board was prepared or me. I was given a small pot of hummus, some breadsticks and veg sticks as that was all that was available, when I pointed out this wasn’t really adequate, I was given a few slices of cheese too. Secondly, despite our booking being for 5pm to 9.30pm, we were informed at 8.45pm that the spa was closing in 15 minutes. Apparently they had changed the opening times of the spa that week, no-one had informed us, and we were abruptly told we had 15 minutes to leave before they locked up. When I complained the following day that I had not got what we had paid for, in terms of food or time, we were fobbed off and told we could have. £50 credit towards our next stay. Needless to say there won’t be a next stay. Terrible communication and terrible customer service. Avoid.
