Hostel 3

This is the worst hostel I ever stayed, the ceiling of the bad is so low that I can’t even sit upright, the room supposed to have 9 beds, but it actually had 11 beds. There is only one fans to share for 11 beds. (Beware) The room rate may appears reasonable, but I had to pay more than 11 Euro/night upfront via online payment before I am allowed to enter the room. It ended more expensive than others. Check-in is via WhatsApp & it is not easy for those who are not familiar with it. There is a sheet of plastic between the mattress & the bedsheets and make it so hot & uncomfortable when you sleep on it.

Stayed one night in this hostel, so far so good. Here in Milan is summer now. The room was spacious with bunkbed for 10 persons. During night is very hot , they provided fan, toilet and bathroom. Free wi fi. No breakfast at all. All the rooms in 3rd floor of that building. Upon check in , i charged 14 euro for tax. Overall, good services. This hostel very suitable for backpackers and budget travelers.

They have bed bugs. They know they have bed bugs and they rent beds anyway. They gave me my money back after i insisted (They had had an outbreak the week prior so they knew I was not making it up. I also had bite marks to prove it. I had also left the facility in the middle of the night as soon as i had showered after realizing i was being bitten.) Their unapologetic, nonchalant attitude the following morning was upsetting and hard to believe. (“We disinfected, so what else am we supposed to do? How do I know you didn’t bring the bed bugs with you? ” was the response the guy gave me.I have no doubt they are going to rent my same bed to someone else tonight. There were at least 5 people in the room with me last night. I don’t think they understand what they are exposing people to. They should be severely fined. Hanno cimici dei letti. Sanno di avere cimici dei letti e affittano letti lo stesso. Mi hanno rimborsato dopo che ho insistito (avevano avuto un outbreak la settimana scorsa quindi sapevano che non me lo stavo inventando. Avevo anche segni di morsi in vari parti del corpo. Avevo anche lasciato l’ostello nel mezzo della notte subito dopo essermi lavato, che ho fatto subito dopo mi sono accorto cosa mi stava morsicando.) L’attitudine di indifferenza e freddezza con cui mi hanno parlato nel mattino nel giorno dopo è stato frustrante e scioccante. “Abbiamo disinfettato quindi che altro ci posso fare? Come posso sapere che non sei stato tu a portare i cimici alla stanza?” Non ho nessun dubbio che affitteranno lo stesso letto a qualcun altro stasera. Eravamo in almeno 6 persone nella stanza ieri sera. Non credo che si rendono conto a quale rischio stanno esponendo i clienti. Dovrebbero essere severamente sanzionati.

So many things, lets make a list: -First, the fact the tourist fee wasnt specified in the website, so we had to pay an extra amount of money we didnt expect. -Second, the policy of the hostel specified that, per hour of delay after 6pm (end of check in time), the tourist has to pay an extra 10€ per hour. We booked the room for 3 people but the third of us couldnt come until the day after, but we paid everything as specifed in the bill, however, we had to pay a penalty of 40€ that he clearly made up, not being registered anywhere which is totally ilegal. -Third, the condition of the whole place, bedroom, and bathrooms, were totally unhealthy, broken beds fixed with cellotape, dirty matresses, broken curtains, musk everywhere around the toilet, broken stuff in the bath tub, dirty and wet towels on the floor, and a total and general lack of hygiene (i add below some pics.) -Fourth, the guy in reception was on the phone until late, talking with people in high volume as he would be the last person in the place, with no rispect at all for the hosts that tried to sleep. -Fifth, early in the morning there wasnt any toilet paper. -Sixth, the bedroom had no light bulbs. -Seventh, we had to make our own beds. -Eight, the pics. on the website dont match with the reality at all. Ive stayed in bad, and very bad hostels everywhere around the world, and definitely this is the worst ive ever been. Definitely, the health authorities should check the place and close it straightaway, not being showed on Booking or any other websites at all.
