We set up a weekend to gather with family and friends at a large property with many amenities. The overall experience was underwhelming. The hotel was showing signs of age and in need of refreshing. The mini-golf and pool areas need repair. The carpets are threadbare. Don't get me started about key cards not working!! So frustrating! At this price point I would expect better. For the same money you can find better. So sad.

There pool and hot tubs were covered in mold we ended up not even staying in the room we checked out an hour after arriving. Called and asked for a refund and the manager said it’s algae and the pool is up to code. I’m sorry but it was disgusting and thag is not up to code. Stating it’s been like that for a while. Well for as much as rooms are I suggest putting more time and effort into getting it fixed. Had to go to front desk fives times cause are keys wouldn’t work.

This hotel is old and hasn’t had any updates. Food is hard to come by. The line for check in was around the corner. We waited about 20 mins for our water to heat up in our room. Furniture is old. Sewage smell in the hallway.

Property is very dated and in dire need of renovation. Large sticky area (previously spilled soda?) on furniture in my room. No daily housekeeping service. Limited early morning breakfast options -- the "Bakery" has coffee, pastries, and microwaved burritos -- and required a 15-20 minute wait due to being understaffed (one person taking orders). I expected a lot more at this price point (which includes a hefty "resort fee").

Perhaps this place was once a nice resort, but not anymore. Definitely not worth the nightly rate and resort fee they charge. It is dated with a lot of maintenance issues. Our first guestroom assigned had a strong odor of sewage. We had to be reassigned to another room. Would definitely recommend finding a different lodging option if staying in Midway.

We got to the penthouse sweet for our 10 year anniversary. We celebrate it here every year. They asked for anything special and I had asked for flowers to be placed out in the room (I told them to charge my card up to $150 for the flowers). We got to the room and as soon as we opened the door it smelt of sewage. There were no flowers in the room. I asked the front desk if they could go smell it and they said they would just switch us rooms. We switched rooms and it smelt better. In the room there was a lot of damaged things. (Gashes in the sheet rock, broken faucets, scum and hair in the bathtub, and again sewage smell whenever the shower drained) The bakery was always “sold out” of food, we were there early and so I think they just didn’t want to make any. The garbage outside smelt very bad. The only thing nice about this hotel was that the room was able to get cold. This place had gone down hill and not worth coming back to.
