"It was a great experience to stay at Rutgers University Hotel and Conference Center. It has an old exterior, clean and complete facilities, and comes with a small refrigerator and microwave. It is surrounded by green trees and lawns. In the morning and evening, you can see a few deer leisurely and squirrels jumping around. It feels like living in a natural park. The front desk service is also great, patient and meticulous. I want to stay again next time."

The hotel also has a laundry room and meeting room. The room is equipped with a microwave and small refrigerator. It provides great convenience for travel life. The cleaning of the hotel is also very attentive. Like it, I will continue to stay here next time. The disadvantage is that it is quite far from the center of New York, an hour and a half drive away, but the price is there, one night in New York City, two nights here."

"I come to this area frequently because I have family in the area. I have stayed in practically every hotel between Monroe and Princeton over the years. This was the worst experience I have ever had, which is unfortunate, because physically, this was the nicest of all the hotels. But I will never stay here again. We arrived on the hotel's second night in business. For that, I forgive them for all the glitches. Check-in, after a VERY long drive to get here, took 30 minutes and 4 staff members because none of them could figure out how to do it. The room keys didn't work on Day 2, the air conditioner in the living area of our room didn't work, and we requested housekeeping and they never showed up. Well, they showed up, knocking on the door at 9 AM on the day we were checking out, which makes no sense. I forgive a brand-new hotel for these annoyances, and none of them would have prevented me from returning. I'm it will get ironed out. The thing I won't forgive is how I was treated. My bill was wrong when I checked out, but I was assured that they would credit me as soon as they figured out how to do it. I looked at my credit card hours later, and noticed that the bill they'd given me during checkout was one thing, but what they charged my credit card was actually hundreds of dollars more. I called and spoke to a manager who said the computer wasn't working and he'd call me right back. 6 hours later, he still hadn't called. When I called back a second time, another indignant manager said that the first manager was "really busy," like I should be worried about his schedule, and not the $600 charge to my credit card. Manager #2 kept insisting that is "folio" looked right, as if it's OK that he overcharged me so long as everything looked OK on his end. He didn't seem like he was in any hurry to resolve this problem with me, promising a call in the afternoon on the following day, which I said was unacceptable. He did leave me a message on my phone the following morning to say that he was still "working on it" but then I never heard from him ever again the charges remained. I finally had to call Hyatt customer service. I left the hotel on Sunday. It's now Friday and it looks like the problem was finally resolved today. The amount of aggravation that I experienced over 2 nights in a hotel was absurd. I never got an apology, nor a concession of any kind. Never again Hyatt. One more thing: we were traveling with our dog this time. Hyatt House is a supposedly dog-friendly hotel. A staff member yelled at me for allowing the dog to pee on the grass on the side of the parking lot that is away from the front of the hotel. There are no signs saying that dogs can't relieve themselves there. I was told that there is a dog area in the back of the hotel somewhere. Tell that to a dog that is outdoors and has to pee."

"The hotel itself is great, I’ve stayed there plenty of times before, however this is the first time I’ve used trip.com to book, unfortunately when putting in all my info it appears trip.com switched my guest name with mine on the reservation which caused all types of confusion and had my card charged double because the hotel couldn’t find the reservation because it wasn’t under my name. I eventually was refunded but all of this happened on my birthday weekend… so yea not the best experience"
