Best Western Plus Menomonie Inn Suites

We would have given this hotel a better review but they are running a scam. We left an impeccable room, checking out early, and later found that the hotel added a $50 charge for missing pillows. Never, ever in my life have I taken something that does not belong to me and this was outrageous! In addition there were minor maintenance issues with the room, broken lampshade, bottom hinge on closet door was broken, which we did not report because we thought it was just minor, quirky, issues. Now we think that the hotel purposefully has maintenance issues that they may charge customers for. When I called to inquire about the extra charge, there was no manager on duty and the hotel clerk said she was on vacation. On a positive note, the hotel room was clean and beds comfortable. Check in experience was also good. This is the first negative review I have ever left for a business and I am sad because we will never stay at a Best Western again. Nor will my friends or anyone I can share the story with. If you have to stay the Best Western because there is no other hotel in United States to stay in, make sure you take the manager on duty to your room at 6:00 am when you check in and out and have them sign an affidavit that every item is in place.

The first night of our three night stay we were put in room 320 and a furnace kept buzzing from a closet in the room every 20 minutes. It was my daughter’s wedding the next day so by the time the rehearsal was over that first night it was too late to change rooms. Needless to say our sleep was interrupted for the wedding:/ The next morning they changed us to a more quiet room after we brought the issue to their attention.

50/50 Garbage from previous stay not emptied. AC did not work. Fan did not work. So uncomfortable warm night. Room otherwise nice. Breakfast very good

Had to ask for the hot tub to be cleaned. Was terribly green looking.
