Serenity On Cross Hill

It was a wonderful property, we like seclusion and this offered the perfect amount of being close to the events we were in town for but secluded once back at the house. We did not have internet all weekend and the owner informed us that it was a provider issue so hopefully that would be resolved. The house was pretty clean, although there were a lot of various food items around the kitchen which could be good or bad depending on your needs.We would definitely choose this house again, there is only 1 room downstairs so if staying with elderly people keep that in mind (we were able to give our mom the downstairs room and we were all upstairs then.Getting to the house the first time is a bit confusing, the owner did provide some specific directions but even those could be updated a bit. There is a pretty tight turn into the property but that is not a fault of the property at all just something to keep in mind.

Difficult to find house, house smelled like fish, must request washer/dryer, dryer was broken, The location even when given online help guide is difficult to find. The address on listing isn’t correct, the signs they put up to point in the right direction are gone or the overgrowth has covered them up, the entire house smelt like fish all weekend, host notified saying washer/dryer was upon request but doesn’t mention that in the listing whether it’s short term or long term stay. TV stopped working after the first night, we had just watched a couple movies the first night and wouldn’t come on the next. The door combo was my own mistake I had given my family/friends wrong number before arriving, but was able to handle that with host thankfully. The smell of the fish all weekend was not fun for anyone though, as soon as you walked in you get a big whiff of it. Unfortunately not our best stay over many years of using VRBO.
