I rolled up to The George needing food on a Monday night in July after they'd just had a busy weekend with a village festival...I also had two dogs in tow. They couldn't have been more helpful. I was found a table, provided with a burger special and my dogs were treated like royalty (which of course is correct). The pub is right in the centre of the village so perfect for a stroll straight from the door. Great food and service in a lovely pub.

A very comfortable modernized room in a quaint old inn situated in a picturesque tiny village. View of a ruined castle and the village church. Excellent dinner and breakfasts. Very friendly staff. Great jumping off place for Stourhead and Longleat and lovely rural English countryside.

Excellent meal and great staff. Sunday roast and deserts. Will return again. Good range of local beers, ciders and other drinks. Quick service and even with power cuts and a lightening storm! All went to plan and we had a good birthday family meals

Booked 2 nights in a super king room. Bedroom was lovely and bed one of the comfiest we have slept in with lovely pillows. Only disappointment was the bathroom which was a little tired and didn’t have a shower head of any kind. Breakfasts were delicious and plenty of food. Ate in the restaurant one night and food was very good. Staff all extremely friendly and helpful. Would definitely return

Staff friendly and knowledgeable. Food super and great value. Overall a pub/hotel well worth visiting in a lovely village. B&B prices exceptional. Book direct. Ask Sam or any of the staff for local information they are more than happy to help.

We had the pleasure of staying at the George at Nunney during the weekend of the Nunney fayre. The entire inn was tastefully decorated with a mix of contemporary with the ancient. We received a warm welcome upon arrival, and were escorted to our comfortable and well appointed room with a wonderful view. Breakfasts and dinners at the inn were superb! In addition, Also, we must commend all the staff as they were all extremely busy during the fayre and worked long hours, but they never failed to deliver excellent and friendly service. Well done, The George! First class!

We had tried to find somewhere at Frome to stay for the weekend but found ourselves at The George and we were really pleased. We found the staff team really friendly, the locals didn't treat us as aliens and we will stay again when we visit Bath. Our room was at the top and was cute, we had everything we needed and it was really clean. We found the mattress a bit uncomfortable but that is personal taste and no hotel room can predict what mattress guests would like. We had breakfast and evening meal and food was so good and so fairly priced. Thank You The George

Lovely old pub/hotel with very friendly service (especially the lady from the Philippines). Good beer and the rather strange Rarebit food offering was the tastiest thing I had all week! My wife’s food was very good and tasty too. Would recommend.

We stayed in the Castle Suite it was gorgeous. The room is beautiful, clean and spacious with views of the river and castle. The decor is very traditional and tasteful with lovely little ornaments to give it a homely touch. There were lovely touches like a bottle of Prosecco each and chocolates on our pillows. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and I got an amazing nights sleep. The bathroom is stunning and quirky in design. The George has lovely friendly staff Tanya the owner and Sam the manager couldn't do enough for us. There is lots to do in easy reaching distance like Glastonbury, Wells, Frome, Bath and Longleat. Try the Sunday Roast and the food it’s all amazing. Can’t wait to go back Thank you Tanya x
