HanTing Hotel (Meizhou Wanda Plaza)
"The hotel's location is unbeatable, right next to Wanda Plaza, the most bustling area in Meijiang District. For someone like me who always takes a taxi when shopping at Wanda Plaza in Meizhou, Huaxiaozhu (a ride-hailing app) is completely unnecessary (about a 3-minute walk). Eating, drinking, and shopping are plentiful; there are plenty of other restaurants in the surrounding area and on the inner streets, so there's no need to order takeout. There are also two local supermarkets and chain snack shops on either side... This is the best hotel I've stayed at in Meizhou District (perhaps because it's slightly more expensive than other hotels I've stayed at). It has the most hotel atmosphere. The room isn't large; besides the lack of disposable mouthwash cups, it has everything else you need. The TV quality is the best I've ever seen. It uses the CoolView system, and besides local TV channels, there are many movies (19 yuan per day, 35 yuan for two days). Many are Hong Kong films, mostly older, but the picture quality is quite high. Unfortunately, the Hong Kong films are dubbed in Mandarin, which feels a bit out of place (although I can understand most Mandarin). The TV has a screen mirroring function, allowing you to project movies and variety shows from your phone onto the big screen (I've tried it, and most videos except for high bitrate and 4K can be projected). I upgraded my room by paying extra. Breakfast was provided, so we went to eat promptly at 7:00 AM. This was the second relatively formal buffet breakfast I saw besides the nearby country hotels. The food was largely the same as the former, including tofu pudding and even local noodle soup. However, there were also criticisms. The bathroom only had one hook. Where could a couple put their clean clothes or used towels after showering? (Even a couple wouldn't change naked in the lobby, especially since the air conditioning was probably on. They certainly wouldn't put them on a high towel rack. My only thought was to close the toilet lid and put them there.)"

The room was spacious, perfect for a family of four, and didn't feel cramped at all, making it ideal for a family trip. The front desk staff were warm and attentive. There's also a parking lot, which was convenient. Although there's a commercial street right downstairs, it wasn't noisy at all, and it was super convenient for shopping and dining."
