Origen Local Suites

We had a great stay! The room was spacious and included a lovely balcony. Our room attendant did a fantastic job keeping everything clean and tidy throughout our visit. We encountered a small issue during our stay, but the staff handled it promptly and professionally. If I could offer one suggestion, it would be to provide softer pillows to suit my personal preference. That said, I would definitely recommend this place and look forward to returning with my family.

The hotel is in a good location, just off Calle 70. Yes there is a church across the street, and they do ring the bells in the morning. It's what they do in Colombia... Most of the rooms are suites, with a kitchen. You have to ask for things (they have a sign up sheet) for the kitchen, Pots and Pans, Blender, Coffee Maker, but they will bring them right away and you will have them for the duration of your stay. The staff is nice, you can eat breakfast in a small attached cafe and there's also a "bunuelo" store (like a cheese filled donut hole) attached to the same building. There's a number or restaurants nearby, a grocery store less than a stones throw away and and Exito grocery store just a few blocks away. You can bring guests that have an ID and they don't charge for guests. You are a block away from banks, tons of restaurants and Calle 70 is like the party spot in Laurales. There are other hotels nearby but none as clean and nice as Origen Suites. The beds are comfy, some rooms have balconies (a bit more expensive) and all rooms have safes, good TV, and good AC. l am not sure why others gave bad reviews to this hotel, I run tours for a living and this hotel is very good as rated by the opinion of my tour clients. Best of all, the rates are good.
