Castle Arch Hotel
"All was favourable except we were stuck in the elevator five minutes in. Also the toilet broke in our room…but the repair was prompt. The place is a bit older so maintenance is likely a bit of a constant effort. And our view was the roof (tar paper). When the place is t full maybe give your guests a better view…. It was very close to all that we wanted to see & do in Trim."
The Johnstown Estate
"Great staff and hotel"
Balreask Bar, Restaurant & Guest Accommodation
"Myself and my partner stayed recently for an overnight. I requested a double bed and was given 2 single beds and basically informed that this was only option. why offer guests to give suggestions and requests to then egnore them. I understand its a guesthouse with limited contact as when you get your key your left to your own devices however post 11pm we had an issue and nobody could be contacted for assistence. We also paid for our breakfast as part of our stay which was nice to be fair however felt extremely disappointed that there was two different menus for guests (who should be main priorty and well looked after) and those who step off the street for breakfast. (who ultimately gets better options as there paying out of pocket but aint i also?) The breakfast for guests was appauling in terms of size. if it was as a result of cost then that should be included in the price for the stay. The rooms were clean and well finished as is the main bar/resturant."
Nannys
"Excellent clean hotel, less than hour drive from Dublin towards Belfast, if you do not want to spend fortune for capital hotels. Great and tasty bar and restaurant. Enjoyed the plac"
Killeen Castle
"It's a nice hotel, a bit out of the way, and full of foreigners playing golf. The steak dinner was average, so beware. The room was quite large, but you need to bring your own toiletries."
Pillo Hotel & Leisure Club
"The hotel had good parking facilities. The tables in the bar were messy. Under staffed. Otherwise everything else was fine."
Collon House
"What a great stay! We stay in a lot of country houses like this and we loved this place. Michael was great, very welcoming and full of interesting facts`about the house. We stayed in the french room and loved it. The house was amazing, and the breakfast was very tasty and wholesome - great food and service! Nice bars and restaurants around the village too! We would definitely come back to stay here and recommend to friends!"
Great National Hamlet Court Hotel
"We stayed in the Hamlet Court Hotel for one night and definitely got that homely feeling of a family run establishment. The food was very nice, the rooms were lovely, the cost to stay was very competitive and I'd particularly like to mention the bar man Alan, he is so friendly and welcoming and we enjoyed his company no end ."

Lough Bawn House
"A little piece of heaven in the Westmeath countryside. From the moment you arrive you are transported back to a kinder and gentler time. We arrived on a rainy Fall day but the scenery couldn’t have been more beautiful. The view of the lake over the rolling hills and countless white sheep is spectacular. We were met at the front door by the owner, Verity and one or her two dogs Nutmeg. Verity informed us that we would have the house to ourselves that night and led us to the Copper Beech room our lovely accommodation for the night. Verity invited us to get settled and then join her down stairs. A wonderfully gracious host, she served us hot tea and fresh baked lemon cake in front of a warm fire in the sitting room. While there, she made several dinner suggestions and gave us a key to the house so that we could come and go as we please. We took a walk through the grounds, walking amongst the sheep and marveling at the beautiful vistas. Our room was spotlessly clean and bright with a wonderful king bed and soaking tub. The next morning we had a traditional breakfast in the dining room at a beautifully decorated table looking across the fields at the lake. Breakfast was perfect and we spent some time getting to know our host. What a gem! The whole experience was magical and we will surely be back!"
Conyngham Arms Hotel Slane
"We really enjoyed our stay from the moment we arrived. Reception staff extremely helpful and helpful. Food was excellent. Bedroom was very comfortable and very clean. Great sleep in a very comfortable room. Will be looking forward to our next visit to Slane."
