Peaceful Place We enjoyed our stay at this house. A little distance from town but that’s what we like. Very peaceful and a unique old house.

Pretty disappointing The land itself was beautiful. The view from the back porch was wonderful. We didn't see any evidence of hogs, there was no trails to any of the ponds. Well there was one trail that was a bit overgrown but you could still see it to get to one pond. It was beautiful but it needed cleaning up a bit. The fenced in picnic area in the backyard was good for dogs. Over grown. The view of the land was the best feature. Back porch in one area if not careful you would go through. Opening the house doors was bad. The smell was soo bad. It had to be aired out a lot. I spoke with the host about a complaint on mice. He assured me it had been taken care of. I don't think this place had truly been cleaned. We found mouse poop all over in the kitchen. Along the floors in the bunkbed room, and living room. Water heater closet had mouse poop all over. The last day we were there we found a dead mouse right by my kids clothes. Wasn't there when we got there. Found these little storage containers with poop in them. I can understand finding a mouse given its in the country but this was evidence of a mouse invasion and lack of cleaning before we showed up. The beds were horrible, they felt like we were sleeping on springs. Looking back in reviews someone stated this and host said they would replace the one bed. That doesn't seem to be the case. Its very unfortunate we really wanted it to be one we would come back come deer season. There really wasn't much comfortable sitting room. Disappointed

Quiet, private location. Overall, descent spot for 15-20 minutes access to multiple fishing spots on the Northern part of Lake Eufuala. Kitchen is well stocked, central A/C, and private. Ponds are nice to look at. No real access to the lake from the property especially when the lake is up. Would have given 4 stars, but rodent droppings throughout the house including the beds, some plumbing issues, and less than expected lake access from property.

Nice little house for a couple people If your looking for a house that is off the beaten path then this is it. We loved the location but if it rains very much you better have a truck and probably need 4wd. It rained a couple of inches the day we arrived and we needed 4wd to get to the house with our boat. The mattresses leave something to be desired for sure as you sink to the frame and can feel every spring. Minus those two things the house was exactly what we were looking for. The only other complaint was that the loghting leaves something to be desired but that could easily be fixed with some new light bulbs.what we were looking for. The bngcould

Thanksgiving Week Family Truly enjoyed our stay. Place was great for us and our two dogs. The huge property gave our labor-doodle plenty-of space to run and enjoy. The house was very comfortable and allowed us to not only spread out, but also host a few Other family members for a great Thanksgiving Dinner.

Home away from home The house is very cozy and sits on a beautiful piece of property. The ponds have perch that we caught and fried up. The kids had a blast they didnt want to leave. Would recommend for a stress free stay
