Everything is just average. I have experienced ryokan a lot before, this hotel-ryokan is quite normal. Honestly the food (gaiseki) was not that great as much as my prior experince at other ryokan. Just enjoy the vibe and onsen.

Overall great experience if you're coming outside of Japan
But building itself is very old and restaurant could look better, it looked like convention hall
