If there is paradise on Earth, it must be Taveuni Island, and more specifically, Taveuni Palm Resort. Lavish vegetation everywhere, fresh water springs (probably the only tropical place where you don’t need to worry about drinking water or brushing your teeth), waterfalls, flowers, butterflies, and the occasional wild pig in the jungle (I only saw two cute piglets). The underwater world is even better than above the water and probably among the best left on our planet. Many types of corals, fish in abundance, as the island is far from big ship routes and common pollutants. People live close to nature while still having some gifts of civilization, like WiFi at the villa (best in the early morning or late evening). Life feels simple and grounded, and that is why Taveuni Palm Resort is such an amazing gem. A luxury private villa with its beach, pool, terraces, and many places to relax. You wake up to a beautifully decorated table with flowers and everything freshly cooked from scratch (you tell them your preferences in advance, of course). I thought I hated coconuts my whole life, but here I tried them savory with lime and salt, crunchy and fresh, and I loved them. You learn to live on “Fiji time” – calm, relaxed, and happy. You feel embraced like part of the best family in the world. They organize tours around the island: to waterfalls, natural water slides (bring water shorts unless you want your bum scratched), villages, viewpoints, and even the date line. They can arrange boat rides, fishing, snorkeling, and diving (the dive shop they work with was excellent and safe). Rash guards and reef shoes are always useful, but here I also learned that rash pants can be handy (hello, natural water slide). Or, if you prefer, you can feel like the only person on the island, quietly staying at your villa to eat, swim, or watch the sunset. They also offer spa services, but I was so busy with everything else that I forgot to try them—something to save for next time. P.S. No mosquitoes! Maybe because it was the dry season (winter), and the resort also burns aromatic sticks, but I didn’t get bitten once, and I’m usually miserable from mosquito bites. P.P.S. The resort is only five minutes from the tiny airport, so the trip from plane to villa is almost nonexistent. They even check you in and bring your luggage while you wait in comfort. You won’t find that kind of service anywhere else.

Quand le rêve devient réalité ... Ici les Maîtres mots sont sourires, attentions, prévenance, bienveillance et tellement bien plus encore ! Colleen et Barry sont les propriétaires de ce "Resort" de 2 villas seulement, implantées dans un cadre idyllique. J'ai beaucoup voyagé dans le monde entier, pour des voyages privés et parce que je suis Hôtesse de l'air. Je peux affirmer que "Taveuni Palms Resort" sur l'île de Taveuni, est une pépite de Bonheur et de Bien-être, LE paradis sur terre !!! Les 2 villas sont aussi somptueuses l'une que l'autre, avec le même confort. J'ai séjourné dans la Villa "Horizon" parce qu'il y avait 3 chambres, cela nous permettait d'avoir chacun notre indépendance. La végétation est luxuriante, les fonds marins sont un aquarium magnifique, les "Locaux" sont d'une gentillesse naturelle, dans le partage et l'entraide, pas d'insécurité ici, sans oublier les dauphins qui nous ont accueillis chaleureusement près de la barrière de corail, face à notre villa, le jour de notre arrivée Beaucoup de respect ici Les îles de Taveuni et Vanua Levu, leurs plages, sont propres et bien entretenues, laissant même penser qu'elles sont désertes Au "Taveuni Palms Resort", rien est impossible, il n'y a jamais de problèmes Nous sommes chouchoutés par 18 membres du Personnel qui se relaient et s'affèrent chaque jour, en toute discrétion pour faire de notre séjour, un moment inoubliable Colleen et Barry sont des personnes d'une grande simplicité, d'une extrême gentillesse et réactives. Ils n'hésitent pas à se joindre à nous pour les découvertes si nous leur proposons. N'hésitez pas à les inviter à partager un verre dans votre villa pour apprendre de leurs expériences, de la culture des Îles Fidjiennes, ... Ils le feront avec grand plaisir, vous garantissant des rires et des éclats de rires Un grand, GRAND merci à Colleen et Barry, aux Chefs en cuisine pour leurs repas raffinés, variés et de grande qualité, à Manoa, Sia, Veronika, Lisa, Bua, Ishi, Surnila, Meli, Duncan et tous les autres membres du Staff ! Nous nous sommes sentis en famille. Une chose est sûre, je reviendrai dans ce superbe endroit à chaque fois qu'il me le sera possible 🤗 Le paradis est là !!! Pour les Français qui voudraient venir découvrir ce paradis sur terre, le trajet le plus simple et le plus facile est Paris CDG / San Francisco puis San Francisco / Nadi puis Nadi / Taveuni où Duncan vous attendra pour vous véhiculer jusqu'à votre havre de paix ! Vous serez accueillis avec collier de fleurs et Staff réunis, en chanson, pour vous souhaiter la "Bienvenue" Dans votre villa vous attendra une bouteille de "Champagne Taittinger Brut Réserve", l'aventure commence ... We absolutely loved Taveuni Palms and can't recommend this resort enough! The staff here were all phenomenal and every member of the team worked to make our honeymoon as delightful as possible. Everyone was so kind and attentive, and we are so grateful for all of the time, thoughfulness, and attention that Colleen, Barry, and all of the service staff and guides put into making sure we were comfortable and having an amazing time. We stayed at the beachfront villa and everything about it was absolutely stunning-the views from the private beach and several balconies and decks, the meticulous landscaping, the private pool, and the spacious rooms. The staff was also so talented at creating gorgeous floral arrangements for the villa and beautiful tablescapes full of flowers for each meal! As a couple who enjoys a mix of activities as well as relaxation, we loved the excursions and activities available at Taveuni Palms and how easy it was to plan each one. All the hikes, boat, and snorkel excursions we did were incredible, and we also enjoyed being able to swim and snorkel right off the beach at the villa! Everything we ate at Taveuni Palms was absolutely delicious, including fresh fruit at breakfast, the most flavorful dinners, thoughtfully packed lunches on our excurstions, and incredible desserts. My husband and I have different dietary preferences, and the chefs were so kind to incorporate both our tastes for our meals! We had the best time at Tavevuni Palms- we miss it already and can't wait to come back! Thank you to everyone at Taveuni Palms for a wonderful stay!

We had a wonderful time at the taveuni, we chilled out at the adults pool for the day, drinking cocktails and enjoying some peace and quiet. Sikeli had the best wait service, he was such a vibe, he made our day so easy and fun. We will definitely be back!

Schon vor zwei Jahren, als wir Taveuni Palms zum ersten Mal besuchten, verbrachten wir, wie auch in diesem Jahr, eine ganze Woche in dem auf einer erhöhten Felsenklippe von einem tropischen, wunderschönen Garten umrahmten "Horizon view Villa", mit Blick auf das Meer. Uns war damals bereits bei der traditionellen, fidschianischen Verabschiedung klar, dass wir zu diesem paradiesischen Ort zurückkehren werden. So wurden wir auch diesmal, wie Familienmitglieder in unserem, wenn auch nur für eine Woche bestehenden Zuhause von Colleen, die mit ihrem Mann das Taveuni Palms seit neun Jahren leitet, und ihrem Team herzlich willkommen geheißen. Das Personal, dass uns nach allen Regeln der Kunst auf hohem Niveau begleitete, kannten wir größtenteils bereits. An den Wohnbereich unserer Villa, welche wohnlich mit einer großen, modernen Wohnlandschaft, TV, zwei großen Deckenventilatoren, großem Esstisch, einer Küchenzeile sowie einem riesigen Kühlschrank ausgestattet ist, schließen sich symmetrisch zwei separate, klimatisierte Schlafzimmer, sowie die jeweils dazu gehörenden Bäder mit Außendusche an, die eigentlich vier Personen Platz bieten. In einem etwas höher gelegenen separaten Haus finden bei Bedarf zwei weitere Personen Platz. Die Räume sind bereits bei der Ankunft üppig mit frischen, tropischen Pflanzen geschmückt. Die Insel Taveuni hat eine Menge an touristischen Attraktionen zu bieten, die das Taveuni Palms, welches neben Allradfahrzeugen mit Chauffeur auch über mehrere Boote unterschiedlicher Größe verfügt vollständig abbildet. Auf das Kompendium des Hauses wird an der Stelle verwiesen. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das kulinarische Programm des Taveuni Palms, das keine Wünsche offen lässt. Vom Frühstück angefangen über das Mittagessen bis zum abendlichen Dinner werden stets die Wünsche des Gastes in den Vordergrund gerückt. Das Essen kann an unterschiedlichen Orten (im Haus, auf der Terrasse am Pool oder dem sogenannten Bula-Deck) eingenommen werden. Betrachtet man die Auszeichnungen des Taveuni Palms der letzten Jahre, so lassen diese schon erahnen, was den Gast im Bereich des „7 Sterne Hospitality“ erwartet. Ganz besonders, - und das ist im gehobenen Tourismus nur selten zu finden, ist die absolut private Atmosphäre, die einen das Gefühl vermittelt, im eigenen Zuhause zu sein. Wir sind von dem Konzept des Taveuni Palms vollständig überzeugt und würden zu allerliebst sofort wieder die Reise dorthin antreten

A friend of mine said that if you want a once in a lifetime dream vacation, go to Taveuni Palms Resort. in Fiji. My wife and I just got back from 10 days in the Beach Villa at the Resort. Needless to say, my expectations were very high. This Resort exceeded our expectations. The photos on the website are beautiful, but they don't capture the beauty of the property. Colleen and Barry, the owners, bent over backwards to make sure our every need was fulfilled. The staff, all hand picked, are exceptionally loving and caring. From the first greeting, to the final hugs good by, my wife and I felt "held" in their warmth and nurturing. This resort is very unique and one of a kind. Each meal was prepared and presented by what you would expect from an. upscale restaurant. Colleen arranged all of our excursions, which included lunch, towels water and an expert guide. My wife and I had never been scuba diving, Colleen connected us up with Taveuni Ocean Sports, and we got certified in 3 days with a remarkable dive instructor. Julie at the Dive shop is another gem to experience. So, if you are planning on going to the South Pacific, I would highly recommend Taveuni Palms Resort in Fiji.
