I stayed at the Riad El Arsat for a couple of nights while visiting Marrakesh before starting a tour of Morocco. The host (Charles) was extremely gracious and welcoming, offering advice on sights to see and tips for my time in the city. The property was amazing, with a huge garden area that included outdoor dining which was perfect for the mild weather. The breakfast was excellent as was the one dinner I had (my favorite tagine of the trip). My room did not disappoint, having great character as well as comfortable beds and the expected amenities. The location is fairly central, with many notable sites only a 10-15 minute walk. Overall I highly recommend Riad El Arsat as a perfect relaxing base from which to explore the hustle and bustle of Marrakesh.

Such a lovely hotel
Gorgeous boutique hotel with a very convenient location. Such lovely staff and Charles, the owner was so helpful. Food was the best we had in Marrakesh and I would stay again in a flash.

We had a fabulous week-long stay in February. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed and looked after by all the staff. Charles was on holiday and his sister Agnes was the most friendly and welcoming host. We had a room on the terrace and most of the time had the whole terrace to ourselves. The riad is perfectly positioned close to the main square, souks and restaurants. However once you are through the main doors it is an oasis of calm and quiet with lovely sunken gardens, a swimming pool, the tortoises, numerous birds and of course the Scottie dogs Sam and Lucy! Watching the sunset from the upper floor of the riad was a highlight for us. We did not eat dinner here but breakfast was superb - watch out you will return home slightly heavier than you left! Would highly recommend a stay at El Arsat - we loved it!

This place is an absolute delight, nestled in the little streets of Marrakesh. The gardens are beautiful and the staff couldn't be nicer or more willing to help. Charles helped us make our plans and dinner reservations, ensuring that we had the best possible experience. The meals were fresh, flavourful and lovingly crafted. My boyfriend came down with a nasty bit of food poisoning after drinking something from the nearby Souk. The staff at the Riad prepared medicine and special food for him along with a very caring touch to help him get back on his feet. Thankyou so much for doing this, it made all the difference! Should we go back to Marrakesh, we will definitely be staying here again :)

I honestly cannot recommend this riad enough. It is absolutely stunning and the highlight of our trip. We had the pool side room and it was just stunning. I spent the whole day there so peaceful. The owners are also so very lovely. They have two gorgeous Scottie dogs Lucy and Sam and so many tortoise too! The lunch was authentic, the place was immaculate and I couldn't recommend it enough. I would 100% go again in fact I'm looking to book again this year.

An amazing four days at Riad El Arsat with host Charles and his amazing team. A special mention to the owners 2 dogs Lucy and Sam who always greeted us on our return to the Riad. Good, staff and attention to detail were all 5 star. Beautiful gardens and an outdoor swimming pool which is very rare within the medina. Amazing history in the building. Well done Charles and all the team and thank you for having us stay!

We were made to feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. The owners Nicole and Charles, Mustapha and the rest of the attentive staff and the two Scottie dogs Lucy and Sam all made sure that we were comfortable. Not easy considering they still had a few minor repairs to complete from the Earthquake. This really is a peaceful oasis in the centre of a busy and lively Marrakech. As soon as you step out of the door you are in the thick of it and nearly all the sights are a walk away. The streets are narrow with a constant flow of walkers, cyclists, barrows, donkeys and carts and mopeds. Be prepared for an onslaught of the senses. However, at no time did we feel threatened or uncomfortable. People on the whole are warm and friendly. We really enjoyed visits to the photographic museum (great views from the cafe), the Secret Garden (absolutely gorgeous) and the Marjorelle garden and museums (prebook for an early visit, no later than 9.30am, if you want to avoid the crowds). For a drink we liked the vibe of Kosybar and food at the Tanjia oriental nearby was delicious. We also ate at the Riad on two evenings, the food was fabulous. Highly recommended.

We loved the Riad and its beautiful gardens. Our room was spotless and comfortable with lovely bed linen, tea making facilities and a wonderful view. The owners were immensely helpful and the staff were friendly too. There is a beautiful pool in a lovely setting.
