Priority: The youth hostel is in a prime location, right in the old city, very close to the Koutoubia Mosque, about 400-500 meters away. The largest night market in Marrakech is right outside, but it is very commercialized. All prices are for tourists. It is also very close to the bus station.
Disadvantages: After paying taxes, you need to pay a city tax of €2.5 per night after arriving at the hotel. It is very deceptive. To put it bluntly, it is to earn the rebate commission from tourists. The city tax in each city in Morocco is different, but you can inform it in advance, instead of adding taxes when you arrive at the hotel. Service was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was tasty and filling. Had a selection of daytrips and excursions you could book through them. However, toilet facilities often did not have toilet paper and the lights would go off if you were in the toilets for more than 2 minutes. Also there was no working air con in the room. Great for a travelling on a budget.
