She went out of her way to help us when we were without a car. It was amazing seeing the animals walk up in the backyard around the swimming pool and Marina brought bananas and yogurt tempt that push babies down to the table so we can experience their delightful behavior."

Although we only had bed and breakfast as family members were staying elsewhere, the lodge was clean, comfortable and the breakfast was great and a good start to the day. "Great experience as a solo female traveller. Stayed at Kruger park hostel for a few days (in the backpackers) and did their Mozambique trip. Super welcoming staff and volunteers, respond quickly over WhatsApp. Brilliant prices for budget travel. Great safari, great Mozambique trip. Lovely communal feeling for evening meal times. Breakfast/lunch are provided which is good, only downside is it’s difficult to find somewhere for lunch, as a solo traveller I diddnt know how much I could walk around in Marloth park to a restaurant or anything. Would’ve been good even just to buy snacks at the hostel to keep me going"

"Val and Neil are the perfect hosts. We had an amazing 4 days with them. With Val worrying that we arrived safely in the middle of the night, to meals being perfectly prepared and always hot. Neil entertained us with experiences in the bush, wonder walks in the wild and great conversation around a night fire, while he made the perfect meat braai. We can't wait to visit again. We are already missing Charlie the crocodile who responds to Neil's and Val's voice and is more obedient than our pets at home! The rooms are exceptionally clean, very comfortable and had nothing missing. What a beautiful place with amazing people. "

"Great place to stay! Room was nice and plenty of space. The owners and staff were very friendly and over accommodating. They come and bring dinner to your room or bbq right on your fire for you. The neighborhood is very safe and has security at the front gate. You have a private pool, indoor and outdoor shower and private fire pit to sit out by. We left early each morning to get into the park and they made sure we had a packed breakfast to take with us. The little attention to details went along way! Would definitely recommend."

"It was our last night at KNP so we would like to stay outside and try the Marloth Park. This hotel was so magical. We welcomed with a small herd of Kudus in front of the house. The property was beautiful and huge. We could see many animals walking pass by near the private pool. Our host cooked us very delicious hearty dinner and breakfast. I wish I could spend more time here, one night was too short."

"The facilities are not up to standard, the pool area and loungers was neglected. I did not get what was advertised. I only stayed one night and booked out as I did not want to spend my holiday at this facility. I complained and asked for a refund but was ignored."

"This Lodge was our 1st experience and stay in South Africa… it didn’t disappoint. The Lodge was lovely, meals terrific, all staff were very nice BUT there were absolutely 3 standouts being Michael our Safari Guide and driver and Sean and Taneash both staff within the Lodge who along with other staff provided breakfast, dinner and everything in between when we were at the Lodge. Michael is a true champion within this business, always courteous, went above and beyond to try to find the Big 5 for us never giving up and had a true love and respect for the animals and the park surroundings. Sean and Taneash offered a level of service above and beyond. The only negative for me and the friend I traveled with was the attitude of the Manager James who stood at the end of the dinner table we occupied with a German Family and lectured them for half an hour about being vegetarian and the downside of not eating meat. Very uncomfortable for all of us definitely didn’t need this for half an hour at the dinner table. Maybe keep your personal opinions to yourself. Overall a lovely experience and stay we thank you."
