The Appalachian Dream Cabin is just a few minutes from downtown Marion. It’s a quiet town where you'll find amazing local restaurants, wineries, coffee shops, and more — or you can take a scenic drive to nearby antique stores, snow tubing at Hawk’s Nest, and amazing mountain overlooks with snowy peaks.

We have been visiting the North Carolina/Virginia mountains for years.This vaca was absolutely epic/perfect. Beautiful weather with a Full Moon. It truly is all about the cabin and “The View “. Cabin was first class beautifully decorated. The magnificint view was always changing. The Biltmore Mansion was all decorated for the Hoildays.Visited several winerys. We will indeed return. Great, clean cabin with an amazing view! Very cozy home that was welcoming the minute we stepped in the door. Well stocked kitchen with everything needed to prepare a meal. Plenty of towels in all bathrooms. Very cool downstairs area with air hockey, table to play games, and big screen TV. Would highly recommend! Note...only one star for skiing because we did not ski and VRBO makes you put a rating in.

Beautiful location. Outdoor space was amazing for hanging out. I would 100% come back here and highly recommend it to others. Plenty of bathrooms. Downstairs space for hanging out was great for those who wanted TV and games.

We visited Marion for our boys to attend Big League Baseball Camp and booked this beautiful home last minute after finding it online. We chose it over a hotel to turn the trip into a relaxing mountain getaway—and we’re so glad we did!The home was clean, cozy, and exactly as described. The host provided a helpful guidebook that made everything easy to navigate. A special touch we appreciated was finding items for s’mores waiting for us on the counter. After long days at camp, the boys loved roasting them and winding down by the fire.We also brought along our 3-year-old daughter and took a day trip to The Orchard at Altapass, just a scenic 30-minute drive away. She had a great time picking apples—it was a perfect family outing.The driveway is steep, but the host clearly communicated that ahead of time, so we were well prepared. One night we had pizza delivered from Titan Pizza Plus—highly recommend if you want to stay in and enjoy the home, it was delicious!Overall, this was a fantastic stay. It was a perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and mountain charm. We’d definitely stay here again!

The view is stunning!! We kept rushing back home to sit outside and enjoy the view!! Michael was amazing w his communication and always responded immediately! The house was just as described. Plenty of room for 3 generations to meet and spend a weekend. Marion has places to eat and Asheville is an easy 40 min drive. I’d recommend driving an suv to get up and down the driveway. Lots of out door areas to sit and enjoy the view!! View from inside was amazing too! Just can’t say enough good things about this home!

Wonderful, secluded cabin with amazing view. Loved the firepit and jacuzzi tub. Had everything we needed. The driveway is very steep but had no problem in my Camry getting up it in September. Would probably need awd if weather was wintry. Would love to return in the future!!
