Amagi Beach – Secluded Slice of Paradise

We rested from 01/21/2024 to 01/30/2024. The hotel itself is really far from perfect. I had to walk around the territory and ask a woman (who is usually a room cleaner and a waiter and a dishwasher and somewhere an administrator))), although she is really a very pleasant and kind person), but still !!! The breakfasts are very varied (an omelet of two eggs, two pieces of potatoes, two spicy sausages and for dessert three pancakes sprinkled with caramel sauce). And only two breakfasts were lucky - there was a buffet. Pros: 1.Very close location to the ocean and clean beach. 2. Clean and nice pool. 3.Always a positive and smiling person who will always help solve a problem (not counting, of course, the difficulty of the language barrier). 4.Next to the hotel (200m) there is an excellent restaurant Saara with a Russian menu, very tasty dishes (we ate there almost every day with a child and always only the highest rating) and absolutely inexpensive prices, the owner, who is a wonderful and decent person, as well also an ideal guide and tour guide, Jamil is such an attentive, decent and punctual person that, to be honest, I have never met such an excellent person in my extensive vacation experience (it is very pleasant to deal with such people). In general, he helps with any requests (of course, within reason). And excursions with him are very interesting! Jamil! If you are reading, thank you for everything!!! 🤝🙂

Overall, I liked the hotel, located 10 steps from the ocean, beautiful nature, silence, polite staff. The downside of the hotel is that the cleaning of the rooms is poor, we cleaned ourselves, the breakfasts are monotonous (omelet, sometimes pancakes, sausages, toast, butter, juice, tea, coffee, fruits - watermelon (tasteless) and papaya), always shouting during breakfast cats, brave crows. When the hotel is full, breakfast is served as a buffet. When entering the ocean, it is 5-7 meters deep, it is impossible to swim in the shallows; the wave turns around (you need to swim across the wave), there are beaches to the right and left with a gentler entrance. To the left is a beach with breakwaters, where locals swim, they are very friendly. We met Jamil, a local resident who speaks Russian, organizes excursions, helps with all issues (skin burnt, the child’s temperature has risen), very friendly, patient, and treats us to fruits. We ate mostly at the Jamila cafe, to the left of the hotel exit, it was delicious, the prices were no higher than in other cafes. We recommend Jamil, we went on a 2-day excursion with him, we really liked it!

The Amagi Hotel became our “home” for a whole month. 2 adults and 2 children rested from 11.21.23 to 01.20.24 We went to relax at the sea, and not sit in the room and 100% satisfied our desire. The hotel is simple, and if you ignore requests for service (just don’t expect service right away, but rely on yourself), then everything is great. Kind, friendly, helpful staff (in a month no one has changed even once, the entire hotel is supported by 5 people + a turn). The staff really tries. We took into account that they are also people and there are only 5 of them in the entire hotel, so we were in no hurry to fulfill our requests. Everything we asked was done. The furniture is shabby, bed linen and towels too. It didn't bother us. If you wish, you can buy your own new one (it costs a penny in the store) and give it to the laundry. Moreover, they saw their children rushing from the beach covered in sand and running to bed🙈. (as long as you’re watching, it’s fine, you should turn away; there’s a sandbox in the room again😅). You have to ask for the room to be cleaned, you have to ask for the towels to be changed, you have to ask for water, etc. We asked for a refrigerator and they brought it to us. The kettle broke, we asked for it to be replaced, and it was replaced within 15 minutes. In general, if you don’t expect a miracle, but just show yourself, then everything will happen. The beach is clean, the hotel area is cleaned, in general everything is clean, everything is cleaned. On weekends, the locals come in a huge gypsy camp and litter and simply destroy everything around them. Considering that there is only one cleaner for the entire hotel, it’s a mess on weekends. But by Monday afternoon everything was all right. So, on the weekend it’s better to go on an excursion with Jamil. We went on the excursion with 3 families, we really liked everything. You can contact Jamil with any question, he will advise, help, organize everything. Thank him SO MUCH!!! ate: - in Sara (at Jamil's) delicious homemade food. - going to Sasha was more expensive, but the level was higher. - we went to TAO - we didn’t understand. All juices are salted. The food is spicy, the portions are smaller and more expensive than in Sara or Sasha. Well, maybe someone will like it, but it didn’t work out for us. - Pizza Hut, an international chain, so there are no surprises here - delicious. - at the Amagi hotel - we ordered food, they prepared it according to the restaurant’s taste. We bought fish or shrimp, potatoes, etc. at the market. We gave it to the cooks to cook, everything was delicious. Breakfast is always standard. We had enough, but if you like varied and tasty food, you won’t come here. The beach is clean, sometimes there are big waves that drag you in. We walked along the beach to the left, about 250 meters there was a beach with a breakwater and a creek, it was comfortable to swim even in a storm. Overall, it’s like staying at grandma’s in the village. And all of Marawila is so kind, sincere and sociable. We really liked it and will come back here again. If you need service, good rooms, etc., this is not the place for you. If you need the sea, warm relationships, tranquility, and the feeling of childhood in a village or camp - this is it.
