Rainbow Bend Resort

Needed a hard reset and this place delivered. My wife and I slipped down to Rainbow Bend for three days — first kid-free stretch in 13 years — and it felt like we hit the mute button on life. Private beach, no crowds, just a tiki hut, a couple of chairs, and that endless blue. Sunrise coffee under the palapa, sunset watching the sky light up like a torch… simple, quiet, perfect. What I liked: real privacy, easy beach access, and zero nonsense. You can actually hear the water, not your neighbor’s playlist. We walked barefoot, breathed, soaked up Vitamin D, and remembered how good “nothing” can feel. It’s the kind of spot where you put the phone down, talk like adults, and come back better. If you need nightlife, look elsewhere. If you want calm, views for days, and a Keys pace that lets your nervous system chill, Rainbow Bend is it. We left rested, grateful, and already planning the next escape. Highly recommend for couples who want space to reconnect without the chaos.

We were looking for a motel with a "Bad Monkey" (Vince Vaughn Apple TV show) vibe and Rainbow Bend Resort was perfect! It is situated between the highway and the ocean. Beautiful views. It felt like we had the entire place to ourselves. It was clean and neat, and they still use actual keys for the door! Breakfast was just ok. We really enjoyed out stay!

The staff at Rebo Bend was awesome. There were helpful every single time I had a question. The bungalow rooms we had were beautiful, totally updated, clean, and relaxing. We plan on coming back soon. One of the best vacations I’ve ever had. I would give this 10 stars if I could

Beautiful property! The staff were very attentive, with excellent communication. Very relaxing stay, I’d recommend!

Smelly rooms and bad free b-fast service! The room smelled funky, the bathroom fan cover was gone and not functioning, grout was missing from the shower tiles in some areas, very loud window shaker ac unit, very loud road noise, and lots of trash on the shore line. The disappointing cherry on top - we were told there would be a free breakfast from 0800-10am. We were there at 8am and no one was there, so we sat down by the water until we saw movement up there around 0830. The door was still locked so we knocked on it. A young lady came to the door and said she didn’t know how to open up the place and we can sit wherever we wanted to. We ordered tea and coffee and no menu was offered. 20 mins later she arrives with 2 mugs of hot water and was handling them from their tops! She explained she couldn’t get the coffee make going so we said no thanks and left. When I dropped off the key, and told the young lady about everything all she did was shrug her shoulder and say sorry, have a nice day. Such a crappy experience.

This was our second stay at the Rainbow, and once again, we had a wonderful experience. The location is perfect—peaceful and quiet, just steps from a beautiful beach where we love to sit and watch the sea. One of the biggest highlights for us is that it's pet-friendly, which is essential since we always travel with our two dogs. We truly appreciate the calm and relaxing atmosphere the hotel offers—it's the perfect place to unwind. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!
