"The hotel is a bit off the beaten path, not in the commercial center, with few houses around, making it very quiet. You can park anywhere you like. It's a three-story hotel, and the rooms are well-equipped with a fridge, microwave, coffee machine, hairdryer, and iron. The bed and pillows are very comfortable. Breakfast was just average. The front desk staff asked me to put down a $1 deposit on my credit card. It's been over half a day since I checked out, and the deposit still hasn't been refunded to my card. I wonder if it will ever be returned?"

"I was disappointed with my stay this time!!! There was a youth hockey team staying the same weekend while we were there and the kids were all running through the hotel (along with other kids who were not staying at the hotel) the noise level was ridiculous and it seemed that the staff couldn’t address the issues (I contacted the front desk 3 times the first night, and again the 2nd night! )Even after quiet hours of 10:00 pm the noise of slamming doors and running the hallways was awful. We shouldn’t have to pay for other people’s noise and others who are not paying and staying at the hotel’s use of the amenities (pool). 2 out of 3 nights were just loud!!!"

"Booked for 7/1/25 through AARP Travel Center. Arrived at 6 pm and was told that they had no reservation for me and that they were fully booked. Showed them my reservation through AARP but they said there must be an error in the booking system. Had to stay elsewhere. I've tried to get my money back for over a month now, but hotel management is dodging contact with AARP to avoid returning my money. Overall unpleasant experience and do not recommend."

"As a Titanium Platinum Elite Rewards member, I've traveled extensively throughout my career and stayed at numerous Marriott properties. Without a doubt, this is the nicest Courtyard I've ever stayed at, and I highly recommend it. The circumstances for our stay were not ideal—my 90-year-old father was in the Cardiac ICU at Aspirus Hospital. However, the staff made us feel extra special and genuinely cared about our situation. My mom, wife, and kids all stayed here at different times from late December to mid-January. I highly recommend this hotel and want to give a special shout-out to Michael and Tao at the front desk, Lauretta in the Bistro, and Daniel Berg, the General Manager. You were all amazing! Thank you for making our time in Wausau memorable and for your heartfelt care! ❤️"
