"Located right near Piazza Sordello, there is the opportunity offered by this hotel, part of the Mategna Hotels chain: here, specifically, a satellite of the very central Gonzaga Hotel. The rooms are rather spartan but tidy and overall clean. Breakfast is not included in the price, but can only be enjoyed upon advance reservation. Since this is housed in a historic building, it still has architectural barriers and narrow spaces for any disabled people. Since it is not a starred hotel, I do not feel like adding more stars to those already given. Positive judgment in any case."

"Large, clean, comfortable apartment but SO far from town. Only fields in the surrounding with a few houses. Very safe area. Large garage in the basement with direct elevator. Pleasant staff. Very quiet but SO far from town :—( Not sure I might return."

"The room and its attached ensuite was excellent - the bathroom in particular was modern and clean, however the walls were so thin I was treated to the full operatic performance by the Italian couple next door, including sobbing, screaming and the subsequent reconciliation. As I think other reviews mentioned, the hotel is in the same ownership as the ABC along the road, so breakfast is taken there. A good location, close to the railway but not noisy as the rooms are behind the street location."

"Depressing room overlooking an apocalyptic, "The Last of Us"-style view of an abandoned shopping mall. The walls were like tissue paper, I heard the others snoring, and I couldn't sleep a wink. The breakfast was awful, and the restaurant was awful. There wasn't even water in the mini-fridge. I asked for a spoon for dinner in the room (Deliveroo) and after an hour I had to go out to get one myself. The bathroom water ran yellow at times. The elevator, despite only being full twice, took forever to go up and down, with epic waits. I'd rather sleep in my car than sleep in my car."

"Palazzo Arrivabene and Mantua were a highlight of our trip, traveling as a multigenerational family. Claudio and his mother Reni are the consummate hosts. The palazzo is beautiful and our rooms were spacious, clean and comfortably appointed. It is central to the sites in Mantua and Claudio offered many recommendations for what to see and where to eat. Breakfast was exquisite with an expansive offering including delicious homemade cakes. Thank you for so warmly welcoming us into your home. We can’t wait to come back. We have traveled all over the world and all agree that Palazzo Arrivabene was truly special. It’s more than just a place to stay, Reni and Claudio welcomed us into their home. We feel privileged to have been their guests."
